Weird thing is, i'll get on a bus or train or plane, boats are cool...but cars Maybe it's the survivablity factor I have the same issue. Well actually, I used to drive until the panic attacks started. It just felt like I was either too big for the car and was gonna crash, or too small for the car and was gonna have a nasty accident because I couldn't see. This would be beyond silly to tell anyone because I'm about 5 foot 9 and a big femme weight size. I'm getting over it fast, though. I want to start back driving again so I can get a cute hybrid car and go out late night for food to tease my dad. I'll show him. He teased me last night with pecan pie and a vanilla milkshake!! AAARGH!! That, and transportation public wise is gonna get hella expensive here in Chicago.

I don't drive. It's really uncomfortable for me, I can't seem to relax at all. I've learned but never got my full licence.

Ex-Moderator | I positively HATE driving. And pretty much everything to do with cars. I wish it weren't a necessity, but it basically is. I lived without a car for 5 years, though.
I want to go back to that, but it would mean getting a new job. sigh... |

i have my licence, but choose not 2 drive.....
i hate it im lucky 2 be in walking distance 2 work, and bus distance 2 everything else oh, and a hubby who chauffeurs me around seems that i was busy doing something close to nothing, but different than the day before

I don't! By choice, even.
I know how to drive and I do have a license, but it's strictly for ID purposes and genuine emergencies when no one else is able to drive. Why don't I drive? -It's ass-rapingly expensive, what with the purchase or lease, insurance, maintenence, parking permits for school, and gas. -It's horrible for the environment -I'd really prefer not to be supporting the actions that are funded by the profits from oil, thanks. Yes, I know oil and gas are used for thousands of other things, but vehicles are the big one. -drivers in this city are fucking insane -everyone I know who drives became impressively lazy after they got their cars. -I like walking better -Public transit's really not so bad. One of my biggest fears. I don't have a licence and I feel very ashamed of it. Seen a horrible accident and my skull was broken in another one. Maybe not enough to explain this incredible fear, but it's still there.

I don't drive because I don't have a car (and can't afford one) and I don't have a lisence. It's pretty embarrassing when you're a guy going somewhere with your chick and she has to drive you... Maybe we can go to the movies and cry together

Let's let Prince take over on this one: Style is letting your lover drive while you talk on the phone and chill. In other words, sit back and enjoy the ride, fella. "A Watcher scoffs at gravity!"

My mom is like that, she hates highways and will not drive on them. Even if she is on a highway in a car and someone else is driving, she's nervous. I'm not sure why she has that fear, but she's always been that way, for some reason. RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

I lived that way for 2 years and it was a pain in the ass sometimes, but I liked it for the most part. It was nice not having to buy gas, pay for insurance, etc. I took public transit everywhere and it was nice. I wound up having to get a car because I went professional with my music career and renting cars was killing my bank account. Owning a car is one of the biggest wastes of money imo. I like driving for the most part, but driving here in Atlanta makes me want to punch a baby sometimes.

I drive and have my own car, but sometimes I get anxious if I have to go a long way or if the weather is bad, and I don't drive on highways at all, THAT scares me.
