What do you think of chinese foot binding? I mean is this tradition and should be accepted, isnt it against women in general?

I wonder how this has been treated like in Europe. There are some surgeons who deliberately do this. Does anyone know what the legislation is? Probably not, but i though i ask...

Was the practice outlawd many years ago?

I saw a documentary on it, and there are very few elderly women left with bound feet.

I don't think they do it any more - it was banned in 1911

In Chinese ancient tradition the concepts of nei (inside) and wai (outside) were very important. Nei was for the females who had to perform in and around the house, while wai was for males who went out to work in the fields. Foot binding was actually the physical representation of nei, limiting females to only travel very short distances.

Feet are also prominent in Asian erotic experience.
