I'm guessing there are 45 Steelers not talking to Anthony Smith today.

Good! He was SO confident that they were going to beat the Patriots and now he looks like a damn fool. Serves him right. Anybody who does that is a fool, you never know what's going to happen in a game. That's why I gloat AFTER the win!

Yeah, now Smith claims he was misquoted. LOL.

I never thought Pittsburgh were gonna beat New E at home. Never.
I wondered why people were sayin that. On National sports radio.
It's like they wanted NE to lose. Media backlash. Or Media trash.

In all honesty, I want to see the Pats lose because I'm sick of hearing about it....perfect this, perfect that.....I picked the Steelers to win because they seemed to have a better shot at beating them than anyone (except the Dolphins...they couldn't beat their own meat as bad as they are... lol ) at this point of the season....but the Pats came ready to shut some folks up....Smith, the media that kept wondering if they were exposed...they looked like they had fun yesterday....and that is the most dangerous thing about a team as good as the Pats are....if they're smiling, then its ON!!!

Wait till the Playoffs begin. Then the journey really begins. A lot of big games to play.
NE got to climb the ladder too. It's gonna be a great post season. What's fair is fair.

Seahawks clinch NFC West title

Sunday, December 9, 2007

Associated Press

SEATTLE, Wash. - Matt Hasselbeck threw four touchdown passes -- the most of his soaring season -- and the Seattle Seahawks clinched their fourth consecutive NFC West title with an emphatic, 42-21 victory over Arizona on Sunday, ending the supposedly upstart Cardinals' quest for their first division title since 1975.

Seattle (9-4) stormed to a 24-0 lead midway through the second quarter and cruised to its 5th consecutive victory, its longest streak since a team-record 11-game run two seasons ago that helped the Seahawks reach their first Super Bowl. This current streak has come since coach Mike Holmgren declared he was ditching most of a stalled running game and relying on Hasselbeck's passing.

Hasselbeck completed 22 of 33 for 272 yards and no interceptions to stay on pace for team records in attempts, completions and yards. He is completing 63 percent of his passing and has 11 touchdowns with just three interceptions during this winning streak.

Arizona got a career-high five interceptions from a rattled Kurt Warner, who was also sacked five times.

Patrick Kerney had his third three-sack day in four games. He leads the NFL with 13 1/2 sacks.

I dunno . . . some of you New Englanders have lost sight of what YOU said.

FWIW, I think it's gonna be harder for the Pats to get to the Super Bowl if they go 16-0, because even if they do make history (which is even bigger in the context of this Era of Parity), whoever takes them out in the playoffs will be remembered more than the Pats, even if that team doesn't ultimately win the big one.

Well not every New England fan is level headed and awesome like me biggrin

And come on, it's easy to lose sight of that with the Patriots, they've been playing well after years of being a shitty team and they're winning superbowls and games. It's easy to get wrapped up in that. Just ask anyone who lives in New York razz

Ask anyone who rooted for the 1987 San Francisco 49ers, who may have been the greatest team NOT to play in the Super Bowl. They were awesome; 13-3 or 14-2 or something like that. Then the Vikings, at 9-7, knocked them off. Or Denver, who was knocked off by the Jags after going 12-4 or 13-3. The Pats beat the Steelers 3 years ago after the Steelers only lost ONE game that year!

Maybe those Pats Fanatics need some level heads like you!
