"Compulsive fetishist" from Brazil behind repulsive video phenomenon

NOVEMBER 30--Been wondering about the identity of the auteur behind the "2 Girls, 1 Cup" video that has been making millions of Internet users gag? Well, the repulsive video--which has become such an online sensation that it has been knocked off by John Mayer, Perez Hilton, and has launched tons of hilarious "reaction" videos--can be blamed on Marco Fiorito, a Brazilian man who describes himself as a "compulsive fetishist" and "an artist in the art of movie making." The 36-year-old Sao Paulo resident became interested in cinema in 1994 and, two years later, began a fetish film business with his wife. "When we started, the only films that we made were about feet fetishes," Firotio recalled in a court declaration, a copy of which you'll find below. Fiorito would move on to more revolting fare, with his videos often involving excrement (as the "2 Girls, 1 Cup" video shows). That film was produced by MFX-Video, one of several Fiorito companies that included his initials in their name (an exception, of course, was the firm Vomit Brazil). While Fiorito contends that his revolting films are not illegal in Brazil, some of his works have been branded obscene by U.S. prosecutors and led last year to the indictment of Danilo Croce, a Brazilian lawyer who lived in Florida and was listed on corporate documents as an officer of a company distributing Fiorito's films. In his legal declaration, which was filed in U.S. District Court in Orlando, Fiorito contended that Croce, 43, had no role in his movie business, other than helping to process credit card transactions through a travel company the attorney owned. In June, Croce, who cooperated with investigators, copped a plea and was later sentenced to three years of unsupervised probation (since he was returning to Brazil) and ordered to forfeit $98,000. In his declaration, Fiorito explained that had he known that selling his films in the U.S. was illegal, "I would have stopped because the money is not the main reason that I make these films." He then added, "I have already made fetish movies with scat/feces using chocolate instead of feces. Many actors make scat films but they don't agree to eat feces."

SIDENOTE: That last statement is BS (no pun intended!). I bet he makes a serious living off of making shock video. Controversy sells as usual.

Well the main thing that makes this a controversial issue (counting the video) is the title 2 Girls 1 Cup. Off-hand, some people might be thinking of two girls eating ice cream from the same cup. That's UNTIL they seen the video. And that's why this is getting the attention of the mainstream internet community.

My only curiosity is how this thing became so widely distributed to begin with. These kinds of films are generally pretty undercover from the public at large, and can usually only be acquired through porn or fetish outlets via sex shops or porn sites...regardless of title...
