It's as if your congratulating her for doing what's right for the baby. If she weren't pregnant, she'd still be a stick. So what the fuck is your point? confused

Don't put words in my mouth! Everyone was saying what a stick she is in PRESENT tense as if she still is to this day. I was simply SHOWING people that while she's FAR from fat or even healthy I guess, she's looking a lot better BECAUSE of pregnancy and is NO LONGER a stick so stop using her as an example. Fuck.

If I were to put something in your mouth, it wouldn't be "words" lol Maybe a shoe or something hmmm

Let's see if she's a decent weight after the pregnancy, THEN you have yourself an argument. But the pregnancy IS the reason for her current weight, so lets not act like she had a realization & made changes. She's doing it b/c she has to right now...

That's disgusting and technically, your mother had hips. Everyone has hips. Therefore everyone has those basic curves

When did you see my mother? eek Tell her hello.

Jan, there are women with NO CURVES. My mother had big ole boobs but she had no hips. My mother was seamstress and would make most of her pants because women's pants would have extra room.

so now you're saying that Jennifer HAS curves? eek

I'm confused.

Calhoun...where is that wonder woman pic pleaseeeee...lol

falloff

But wouldn't it be true that how voluminous a woman's bosom is contributes to how curvacious she is overall?

I don't think that it should be. Honestly, if you are so worried about what other people think, then there's something wrong with you, not the person saying things about you.

I'm sorry you misunderstood me about Jennifer. To me, when I say someone is curvy, to me, it means they are above the average women in regards to curves, to me

its not your hip bones that makes you have hips though Jan. Its that curve on the outer part of your upper thigh that gives you a little roundness.

Who knew THAT would require explanation? lol

roundness, yes, but you can see even a skeleton of a woman has bigger hips than a man. Their pelvis is wider than a man's is so they can give birth.

It's laughable partly based on it being a totally idealistic and completely unrealistic idea and partly based on your some of your previous (albeit maybe older) threads/posts.

Perhaps unrealistic in your view of things, but considering the source, this is coming from someone who is constantly dealing with self esteem issues, so.....yeah.

Thanks for your input.

The skeletal make up doesn't necessarily mean a woman will have HIPS. Once the skin, muscle and fat get on the bones...some woman are straight, up and down on the sides (normally referred to as the HIPS).

I guess we have different definitions of hips, because I've never seen a woman who had no hips.

Of course, that's a different scenario.
We should be teaching our kids to be individuals who can find strength and self-esteem within themselves and to not look to others for validation.

Cool, but I like to think that I'm as honest as you think you are. I'm not trying to single you out, but I have to say that I am much more secure in who I am and what I am than you seem to be. Maybe it's because I'm older than you are, and it has nothing to do with being superhuman. It's about being realistic, and not beating yourself up for what someone might say about you. I mean, really, who gives a shit what other people think? I certainly don't.

I get tired of reading women's posts when weight comes into play. The massive insecurities shine right through their posts.

I couldn't care less whether Jennifer Love Hewitt is upset. Maybe she should move to Tibet along with Prince is they're so goddamned worried about what people say?

I don't feel singled out or jumped on or even insulted by what you said because I am extremely candid about my issues and have never said anything but the truth about them. I certainly don't pretend to be anything I am not.

It still doesn't take away from the fact that people who revel in making fun others - especially when it simply comes to their looks have something seriously messed up about them.

Oh, well that's great, because then you can't blame others for what you feel. And I have the opposite view. I think that people who care about what other people say has something seriously messed up about themselves. shrug

How about the fam and public figures you look up to, which in actuality would affect a lot of people? Maybe not you, if so, then what's the point of having influences like your guardian around you, teaching you this, that, and the third if you could actually just live life as an orphan? I mean, "SOME" people's words are weapons. This is especially true for those that one wouldn't expect to be so tactless around the receiver of such psychological damage. I'm just saying.....
