Alfred Hitchcock. I believe he had a segment on the little girl and her doll, who change places when they play. (may have been "Outer Limits). The mom was suspicious, and interupted them. The daughter was the doll and the doll who turned human, ran away. The end.
Or the series with the man who kills his nagging wife, has her body in the trunk and gets stopped by a helpful police officer, who wants to fix his broken tail light, only the trunk has to be opened. Everyone's nightmare..... lol

I actually love horror/slasher flicks (always have, always will), but they don't actually scare me. Movies about shit that happens in real life scare me. I remember "And the Band Played On" scared the shit outta me as a kid.

The Exorcist! Plain and simple..this is the only movie that has scared me to my bones!

HA! Did you see the spoof of "The Exorcist" (scene in the bedroom) in "Scarey Movie", with James Woods? He plays the priest, and just shoots her. It's too funny.
lol

I haven't seen this. I might have to check that out.

Blair Witch.

And I made the mistake of driving home via country roads with corn fields on either side of me in the dark. When I got home, I forgot my leftovers from dinner in the car, and I was too chicken-shit to even go outside and walk the 30 feet to my car to get them out.

I love scary movies - they make me laugh for some odd reason. eek

BUT I don't like movies where they show people shooting up or anything with needles (like the movies where some guy is trying kill someone with an injection). Ew! I just can't watch that...it feels like it's happening to me.

scariest movie to me....i cant remember the title but maybe someone else can. I was a little kid at the time, and there was this voodoo type statue and when a chain fell off of it, it came to life. demon A woman in the movie tried to drown it and she put it into a suitcase and it cut its way out of the suitcase.....

And what is worse...we had a crossed leg indian statue in the house that had a tomahawk and my mom promised it would come to life if I snoop around during the night. Lets just say, I couldn't always hold my pee till the morning.

The exorcist still leaves me unable to eat split pea soup barf
Pet Cemetary was truly morally wrong tombstone
And as an adult, if you like SAW chainsaw saw u are sick and twisted.

I dont watch horror anymore....it just troubles my sweet spirit inside angel

Funny ... when I read the title of this thread I thought noone will say "what lies beneath". But I found that genuinely frightening too, though more in a jumpy fright way than an actual fear (if you know what I mean).

Same thing with 'The Ring' (Hollywood version), especially the horse bit.

Someone else said 'The Shining'. When I was young, that scared the bejesus out of me. All three of these are amongst my top 10 fav movies.

Make believe movies do not scare me

Real footage like hmmm innocent children being killed or maimed in war - that shit is scary

I agree. The news over here is unfiltered and the amount of kids I see having limbs blown off the world over is too much to bear..

Although...I have to admit where films are concerned, I finally saw The Excorcist when I was about 19, back in college. I was scared for days afterwards and paranoid every time my roommate left the apartment. That's the one film I still cannot mess with to this day boxed
