That is an AWESOME movie..best seen in theaters!

Deathrace 2000 - Sunny as hell
Erasorhead - Jesus Christ. It's one thing to be weird, it's another to be gratuitous about it. Stupid movie--I dont' care what the supporters and critics say.

Graffiti Bridge -- This is not a joke--the movie really IS weird.

Artificial Intelligence - It covered ALOT of ground. It was one of those stories that had ALOT to say, but kind of rambled doing it.

Closetland - though not particularly weird, you feel slightly out of place as you watch the two characters go through their little mini journey together.

Star Wars - drop all the pop culture conditioning that's made you think this is a normal sci-fi movie---people, it's got samuris with sparkly light swords and giant spacehips in the shape of planets that blow up if you shoot a laser in their assholes. That's a weird fucking movie.

It's awful that I love this movie, considering (1) Boyle choose fucking DiCaprio over MacGregor, (2) the fact that it's not loyal to the book, and (3) the bulldozing and landscaping of Maya Bay / Ko Phi Phi Le. Thank goodness the tsunamis brought it back to natural state, for the most part.

But yeah, this movie has a very special place in my heart. And the soundtrack is fucking divine. But the movie had horrible reviews and is practically a ghost a mere eight years later.

I think about the weirdest movie I've ever seen is 'Pink Flamingos'... I couldn't eat eggs for about 2 months after that movie... and it almost cured me of my foot fetish...

so, yes, we rented it for thanksgiving dinner.

and yes, we all sat in the living room - me, my mom, her best friend and her entire family, and we got as far as the singing asshole and that was all she wrote.

of course, as soon as we got home that night i was on the phone to my friends: "oh my GOD, we HAVE to rent this crazy movie, 'pink flamingos'!" - and so a john waters fan was born!
