This is kind of awkward.

Stephen is an old friend of mine from who lives in Tampa. I was never really CLOSE to Stephen, but I've been very close to some of his friends.

Earlier this year he attempted suicide. He was apparently very depressed.

How You Can Help

A lot of you have asked what you can do to help, and early on, it was suggested that an account be established for those who wished to contribute in some way. We know, for example, that simply keeping this website up and running costs Dena $10/month. We set up a checking account, linked to a PayPal account, on Stephen’s behalf to accommodate both those who would prefer to mail in a check and those who are used to using PayPal. Any little bit helps, and this way we can feel like we are contributing in a more tangible way to help Stephen.

If you’re interested in making a contribution to this account on Stephen’s behalf, here are the directions provided by the bank: Make a check out to Dena Reid (Stephen’s sister) and on the back of the check, write “For deposit only-Wachovia account #1010174836597.” Mail the check to Wachovia Bank, 12233 N. Florida Ave
Tampa, Fl 33612.

To contribute through PayPal, just click on the PayPal button up top and choose an amount. If you want to contribute a different amount just post on the message board that you would like to donate a different amount, do not state the amount unless you want to, and someone will contact you via your email address.
