Always loved BMW's. Something about them feels great. Old ones, new ones, it doesn't matter. I couldn't afford an oil change on one, though.

I'd certainly drive a Mercedes, especially a smallish one, but they always felt like rich family cars, not fun to drive cars.

I've never driven a Mercedes, so it's hard to say. But I used to own a 1987 BMW 325, and I thought it was a great car. It's now owned by a family member, and despite being 20 years old, the car feels rock-solid (no rattles) and drives very well. I'm not sure I can think of another car with that level of build quality.

Incidentally, it was a BMW M5 that recently broke the "Cannonball Run" record. Two guys managed to drive from New York to L.A. in 31 hours and 4 minutes. shocked

The drive is more responsive in a BMW (5 and 7 series). The quality is ROCK solid and I never have 2 do anything 2 my BMW beside regular maintenance.

The Benz 500 SEC was alway in the damn shop for something. It was a nice car but everytime I turned around it was back in the shop. The Benz reminded of owning an American made car.....if u know what I mean.

ha!! I guess I do know what you mean. Right now I have a '05 Pontiac G6, and so far hasn't even gave me not one problem, and all I do is take it to the dealer for its regular maintenance.

I can't even afford a BMW at the moment....but just give me 5 years and I bet I'll reach my goal. Whatever I get, I know I definitely want a six speed. It's my goal to be the owner of one, one day.
I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

Trust me.....u are doing fine. I have wasted BIG $$$$ on cars. In the end, it's NOT worth it. Invest your money.
