i've went to various sites including Adobe and nothing is working or maybe i'm not doing it right. i've installed, uninstalled, reinstalled whateva and flash player is not working. i can't see youtube or play any video games

Have you checked to see if it's your browser? Like does the player behave the same in firefox as it does in Safari?

Also, have you tried to run an .swf file natively on your workstation?
