What Makes You Misty Eyed?

I've been really sentimental lately and I find myself getting misty eyed over silly stuff. I've noticed there are things in my life that consistently get me a little choked up but in a good way. Like whenever I watch my niece and nephews perform in a play. I don't know why but I get a little teary. Or whenever I see the clip of Susan Lucci finally getting her damn Daytime Emmy after being nominated 19 times. I actually cry like a little bitch when I see that. bawl

So what makes you weepy? cry

Any type of tears will do. But I was thinking more of the "unexplained" tears. Like when you cry and you don't know why.

OMG, me too. I never realized what a barrier those are until I had to start wearing my glasses more. Everyone thinks I'm nuts when I tell them that. They think my eyes should be more irritated with them in.

My 9-year old friend Nicolas. The young man has adopted me as an older brother and I just sit and kick it with him every month or so. He's a wonderful kid and makes me realise just what a great father I'd make. Upon meeting me for the first time, he went home and excitedly told his mom, "I've never met anyone like Jason!"

touched

I also mist up at the "Wise Up" montage in "Magnolia." Every time.

Oh, me too. Hey, maybe you know. Is the young girl singing in the choir supposed to be Suge's daughter? I always assumed she was but there's not really a confirmation in the movie.

Grate some horseradish, that will have the tears running wink

Wow! I think just about everything gets me misty eyed! I think that's just the kind of person I am!

Example...the first time I saw a real life Van Gogh painting in person..I cried like a baby!

I remeber my ex playing tiny tim in a scrooge production in vienna some yrs ago, and at the end of it, i was sitting there with tears completely welled in my eyes and a massive lump in my throat, her family were all there, so i had to try hide it, but i have never understood why it had me almost in tears.

Although "cool runnings" almost had me in that state as well wink
