Beverly was a hottie. I was secretly in love with her. We moved after sixth grade, and I thought I'd never see her again. But I thought about her from time-to-time.

When I was 23, I was driving through the old neighborhood and I stopped by Beverly's house. Or so I thought. I was actually 2 houses off. But the neighbor said Beverly was at Florida State, and her parents still lived in the same house two doors down. This was in November, and I resolved to go by her house over the Christmas break.

So on January 1, I showed up at her door. At first, she didn't remember me but then her face lit up in a smile. We had a great conversation and went out on a few dates. I was still in love, but it didn't work out. She went back to FSU and ultimately started her acting career.

Later, she appeared on "Star Search" and set the record for most weeks won by an actress. She had a few bit parts here and there, and did a children's math series on PBS. She got married and hopefully lived happily ever after.
