Never... I can't relate to the idea of killing myself, but I've known several who have contemplated it and one who did it.

No. Are you? Or just curious?
Studies have shown the ass crack of the average Prince fan to be abnormally large. This explains the ease and frequency of their panties bunching up in it.

It has crossed my mind.

But doing such a thing would hurt my family.

someone should lock this thread i think, it is still a forbidden subject, very hard to grasp and comes out of the blue, but none the less, it does make one wonder, what torment one goes thru before the end.

Yes... and if you need, I'm open to talking a bit about it in private. I hope it's not something you're struggling with.

yes.

i bought a gun, but i didn't buy bullets.

i've broken down at work, left work, come home, and called a suicide hotline.

i've had to sign a 'no suicide contract' with my therapist, wondering if this little strategy really works.

some of the happiest moments of my life occurred after all of this.

in a reference to what you say, the first time i dealt with suicide I was 12 yrs old, a guy i knew from a band we were in, at that age i could never understand it. due to a stupid mis understanding, he took his life at the age of 14, it was a strange moment in life.

at that time and to this day, i still wonder what went thru his head to go thru with it, how at that age can one make such a decision.

but how little did i know then

reminds me of a friend that had this funny sense of humour, he would always say he had the bullets but not the gun, so he would simply use a hammer.

i was once very close to the brink, and since then i have had many beautiful moments

you dont know how supportive this thread can actually be to some people.

I started the thread and after i felt bad about starting it, if the thread is supportive I will be very happy, as it is as I stated a taboo subject, but one that needs addressing and let people know that we/they are not alone

I agree, but some people dont think, there is a trigger reaction and Bang they are gone

it is something that is very difficult to write about, and those that have taken the step have to be respected, although I have my own opinion about it, i still think people need to open up abit more about it

It might help someone some where

I hear you. I can understand that for someone it might seem like the only possibility. Who knows, maybe soem day I would feel like that myself, you never know what life will be like in the future.

unfortunately some people think it is the only way out, whatever their reason were, i am sure that with a good friend to listen, they may not have taken this route, but what i say is only speculation, there are some people who simply want to end it and nothing on this earth will stop them

I think that when you are so desperate it is hard for a friend to "ring through".

Very deep subject...and yes when I was younger I did think of suicide. For many reasons, to many to go into on a forum site. But some how I got past them, and I am here today!

I have also had suicide around me, and have seen what it can do to others around that person. My son, who is 14 now, had two of his friends committ suicide coming on 2 yrs ago. One hung himself, a month before school let out, and the other, well she shot herself in the head, one month after his other friend hung himself. So within a month, my son lost two of his friends to suicide. sad

The thought of suicide is a subject that should NEVER be taken lightly. Even if you feel the person talking about it wouldn't actually go thru with it.

I have 'considered' suicide in that there have been periods where I've wished with all my being to die so as to finally bring to an end the pain of certain longstanding - and seemingly neverending - torments and circumstances which had drained me of practically all hope and belief for a future worth living, and have had to go to the hospital when those feelings of despair became acutely overwhelming, but have since concluded I don't have it in me to commit the actual act.
