Sorry, Richie, didn't respond. But I am now. I do not know for sure but I believe how I got the infection was from when I fell into a landscaping planter at Walt Disney's Animal Kingdom in October when I was on holiday. I banged my knee into the planter, which had this large palm tree and all this beautiful fauna, and I fell into it. I skinned my right shin and slightly skinned my left index finger. Nobody was around as the park was closed and I was near a restroom near the Expedition Everest roller coaster. I did seek out a cast member for assistance and she cleaned my finger up and gave me a band-aid. I thought nothing too much of it but I knew in the weeks after the spill, my right knee still hurt. I knew it was bruised and I believe that whatever was in the soil in the planter got in through my right shin that was skinned, and traveled up and settled in my knee, hence the "traumaticus bursitis." But I will learn more Monday.

After seeing the orthopedic doctors on Monday, I was told I"m progressing very well. I'm supposed to still change my wet-to-dry dressings every day and I get to see the doctor in two weeks.
I'm back to driving my car and have started bending my knee. I have progressed to the point that I don't need to use a cane or crutches. Hopefully by Christmas my knee will be almost healed, but I just received another perscription for antibiotics and it looks like I will have to take them for at least the next month to flush out the bacteria for good.
