How far have you traced your family tree? How far have you traced your family tree? Any interesting stories? I traced mine back to 1825. I found out that I was related to a couple of my old classmates.

My favorite find was the fact that my great-great paternal grandfather was a bullfighter. I am an animal lover and would not consent to this in this life time, but damn..how cool is that?!

I am adopted..but was lucky enough to find out who my birthmother was...I looked at her family and learned about when the Pense family came over to America that was pretty cool. And in my search I found a cousin, who I still speak to now!
I have learned that my son's Dad's family...comes from the very same Graham's that created Graham flour..the very flour that is used to make graham crackers. That was very interesting. Proud Memaw to Seyhan Olivia Christine ,Zoey Cirilo Jaylee & Ellie Abigail Lillian

My father has this tracing as a hobby. Right now he is at around 1600. That's 11 generations back...

I had a family member do this. My people were the Vikings that invaded England and then became English only to get a deal on land and bring them all to the original settlements of Virginia. Interesting indeed. She found lists of things they owned when they died and I was disgusted to find that my bloodline owned slaves. I've never liked that side of the family and now I have yet another reason.
