I have a pickle that has sent some running & screaming.
Which is too bad,
because if they would've stuck around,
they also would've noticed that it's fearsomeness is soothingly negated by a couple of balls that are as comforting & soft as cotton.

BTW, if y'all notice, at the beginning of that video, when they dump that massive load of pickles, a shoe fall out.
That's all that's left of that poor soul that those goddamn pickles ate.

I think phobias, like mental illness, truly affect only a small percentage of people. The rest just don't want to deal.
America's political system used to be about the "pursuit of happiness." Now more and more of us want to stop chasing it and have it delivered.

I also think the word 'phobia' has been abused in language. I mean 'homophobia'. Come on. Who really has an irrational fear of homosexuals? Stupid!

Pickles are real.
If we want to progress as a society,
we need to deal with 'em.

This reminds me of something I heard on Howard Stern. They were goofing on clips from Tyra Banks' show, where she was helping people challenge their phobias. Tyra revealed that she'd had a longstanding fear of dolphins confused and there was a scene where she was going to try swimming with some. You could hear them as Tyra approached and she was saying (with heavy breathing) "Oh my God...Oh my God...".

Howard said, "Wouldn't it just be the greatest if one of them ate her right now?".

Yeah and on that same episode of Tyra, there was a female who was afraid of pennies. Tyra had an aquarium filled with 6,000 pennies and told the girl it was a watch at the bottom of it worth $6,000.

she damn sure got that watch lol

Me, I have a fear that I exist in a universe that could just be one atom in a cell of the balls of a guy who lives in a whole other universe. And it goes on and on and on and on and on and there's no end. EVER.

But that's just me. shrug

with all kinds of phobias. Clowns, spiders, frogs whatever.
Now, I've never made fun of anyone with any kind of phobia cuz I know this is some serious shit. But I can not for the life of me, understand why people are afraid of things like cotton balls, or ballons or even mustard. confused

I mean, i would never be afraid of a frog but I can understand someone else being scared maybe cuz of something that happened when they were younger and they may think the little tiny frog can eat them or something. BUT a cotton ball???

Please explain to me!

Why would you allow yourself to accept certain phobias and not others? They are all specific triggers conducive to our individual body chemistries and design. It's not about understanding it is about acceptance.

Wow..that would be funny. Sad for her I guess but funny for us especially those of us that love pickles.

falloff giggle

I would hate to have a hang up like some of these people. It would be awful. I don't know how one acquires such an insane hang up as being scared to death of a pickle giggle or a cotton ball, but I'm sure glad I'm not one of them.
