Not sure if it's gonna happen tonight! Two sacks in a row Brady??!!! AHHH!

Nothing stays gold...

Baltimore called a timeout when they stopped NE on 4th. They don't deserve to win now. lol

Yeah, I know. That was unforgivable. They also had a clean popped up ball.
Nobody even looked to catch. WTF. Ravens lost it. What's fair is fair.

Baltimore had waaaay too many penalties. They would have won it had they been smarter. It's going to keep getting tougher, the opposing teams are finding the loop holes in our defense, and they are all over Brady like I want to be.

Baltimore was snakebitten. They stop Brady on 4th and 1 and some genius on the sideline calls a timeout. Then they stop them again on 4th and 1 and a Patriot lineman jumps before the snap.

When I saw that, I knew the Ravens had no chance.

Steelers are gonna give us a run for our money next week, I hope my nails grow back in time. I'm actually trying to get tickets for that game pray

If the Steelers don't do it next week, then you can break out the champagne... cause there's not another team on the Pats schedule that will give them any trouble.

Ya never know!!! I don't count my chickens before they hatch...usually anyway.

The only games that matter are the playoffs and superbowl anyway....if they lose any of the remaining regular season games then so be it. Not worth getting injured over!

I agree, but Belichick hasn't gotten the memo. Leaving starters in games that they're leading by 30 or 40 points and exposing them to the risk of injury, all because he's pissed about being called out on Spygate. He's probably going to hammer Mangini in the same way in Week 15... God help him if Brady or Moss gets injured in that circumstance because the Boston media will crucify him.

I like the Patriots, because I always felt that they exemplified the team concept and weren't showy or flashy about it, but I despise Belichick.

Well, they barely beat 2 sub-.500 teams in the last 2 weeks. And make no mistake, Pittsburgh is coming to play. The Ravens gave them the blueprint. Run and blitz.

I agree, CarrieLee, the playoffs are all that matter. Think about how the Pats fans would feel if they went 16-0 and lost in the playoffs! They might have preferred going 9-7 and running the table, because their names would live in infamy if they blew an undefeated season.

And it could happen.

True Carrie....but nothing would make me happier than having those arrogant fucks (The Undefeated Dolphins) stop celebrating whenever an undefeated team goes down..... those guys irritate me!

Did you see the little snippet last night on Belichick? It was all about not hating the team and hating him instead lol I've always respected him, he's done a lot for the team but I did lose some of that respect earlier this year. What are ya gonna do?

Namepeace:

I agree with you 100%. Every game is a blue print and once the Eagles found a way to get to Brady I think Baltimore looked further into that blue print and the Steelers are going to look even further than that! It will be a good game, but like I said I won't be upset if they lose any of the next 4 games (it is 4 right? lol).

Playoffs are all that matter and it will be the best of the best. I love my Patriots but I just love the GAME the most. So may the best team win!!! woot!

I don't know if you'd agree with this, but I think there would be alot less pressure on the Patriots in the playoffs if they lost a game before then. It would also worry me that they don't really seem to have a running game. But hey, a Florida Gator caught the winning TD in yer last game, so that's ok. thumbs up!

I totally agree with you. Of course there will be less pressure and then everyone can talk their shit calling us a shitty team because we lost one game. That's what everrrrryone wants to do! Everyone wants to see the Patriots lose.

We robbed Baltimore of a win, well....I guess it was Baltimore's own fault with calling a time out and with all their penalties. They should have won, they played better as a whole, just made dumb mistakes shrug

Steelers all the way!

Black and Gold 4 Life!

Keeping it in perspective
Thursday, December 6, 2007
By Teresa Varley
Steelers.com

It might be the most talked about game of the week, but for the Steelers players this Sunday’s game against the Patriots is simply the next game that they play and they are approaching it the same way they did the last 12 games.

“It’s always about your team,” said cornerback Deshea Townsend. “You aren’t worried about the other team. They have a good record, they are a good team, but it’s about going out there and trying to win the game.”

Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger knows the challenge the Patriots bring and that it’s going to take some extra effort this week in the preparation, but it’s still one of 16 games.

“It’s going to be a mentally demanding week with all of the stuff that they do,” said Roethlisberger. “We have to be on top of our game and everyone knows that. There is going to be a lot of extra time put in this week and it’s going to be hard work.

“But for us we are going in to it like it’s the next game on the schedule, which is what it is. It’s not the Super Bowl; it’s not the playoffs.”

For running back Willie Parker what is important is that a win against the Patriots would be one step closer to potentially making the post-season, not spoiling the Patriots quest for a perfect season.

“What motivates and drives us is that we’re on a run and we’re trying to make this run in the playoffs,” said Parker. “December is the time to play your best ball and that’s what really drives us. It’s December, the Patriots are our next opponent and we’re going to have to play a good game and play hard for 60 minutes because we know that they won’t quite. We know they’re going to give you their all for 60 long, hard minutes.

”They’re a good team and they’re the team to beat and we know that.”

* * *

The Steelers defense will face one of their toughest challenges of the season trying to stop the Patriots offense, but the key for them is to set the tone early.

“For us it’s trying to force the issue,” said Townsend. “We want to dictate what we want them to do instead of letting them dictate what they make us do. They have so many weapons that it’s going to take a total team effort for us to have a good day.”

* * *

The Patriots did not practice on Wednesday after coming off their Monday night game but it wasn’t about giving the players a rest. It was to help the coaches.

“It’s for the coaches to be ready for the players when they come in here,” said Patriots head coach Bill Belichick. “Pittsburgh is a hard team to prepare for. What I don’t think you want to do is give your team a game plan and then you do more work on the team and find out, well, this isn’t quite what we want here and we need to change this and we need to change that. We felt it was just better to take a little more time ourselves from a coaching standpoint, a staff standpoint, to make sure that with the extra time we had that we could get things as close to exactly the way we want them so when we do give them to the players that we don’t have to go back and change them.

“There are always little adjustments that you make, but so you don’t have to go back and make a lot of major changes and adjustments in your game plan, when you start you’re headed in the right direction and you don’t have to change that course during the week. That’s not a good position to be in, in terms of preparing your team.”

My predicted outcome was originally 35-14, but realized that the Patriots have not been held to 14 all year.

So it is now:

35-21 PIT
