NBA: The Bulls fire Skiles

It's about time:

Chicago Bulls fire coach Scott Skiles

By K.C. Johnson

The Chicago Bulls, off to a disappointing start after making the playoffs in each of the last three seasons, have fired head coach Scott Skiles.

No replacemenrt has been named for Skiles, who has a 165-172 record in his five seasons with the team. The team's next game is Wednesday at San Antonio. In their last game, they were blown out at home 116-98 by Houston Saturday.

In a statement on the Bulls Web site, team GM John Paxson said:

"This was a difficult decision to make, but one that was necessary at this time. Scott helped us in many ways during his time with the Bulls; most importantly, he helped this franchise get back to respectability. I am appreciative of his hard work and the imprint that he left on our team."

Skiles became the 15th coach in team history when he took over for Bill Cartwright on Nov. 28, 2003.

They should have fired Paxson. What was reason for getting rid of Tyson Chandler?

I used to call the Clippers "Developmental NBA Farm Team West" and the Bulls "Developmental NBA Farm Team East" because they were notorious for drafting talent and then letting them go elsewhere and blow up. lol

You cats must be going crazy watching Chandler & Aldridge doing their thing.
