Favorite quote right now:

The fans turned on Carolin Panthers quarterback David Carr quickly. After Carr's third-down pass was batted down near the end zone, John Kasay kicked a 29-yard field goal to cut the halftime deficit to 10-6.

But not before fans started chanted "We want Moore" - a plea for the Panthers to put in rookie quarterback Matt Moore, who eventually did replace Carr.

"It's not like we were purposely trying to not score points," Carr said. "They were chanting 'More' -- that they wanted more points. And we were trying to give it to them."

If you limit your choices only to what seems possible or reasonable, you disconnect yourself from what you truly want, and all that is left is compromise.

I quote movies a lot...

Airplane, Better off dead, Serial Mom, Beyond the valley of the dolls. My favorite movie that's got tons of quotes is Who's Afraid of Virgina Woolf?

Martha: Fix the kids a drink, George. What would you like to drink, kid– kid.
Nick: Honey? what would you like?
Honey: Ohhhh, I don't know, dear, a little brandy maybe. "Never mix, never worry!"
George: Brandy? Just brandy? Simple, simple…
[George turns to Nick.]
George: What about you, em… em… em…
Nick: Bourbon on the rocks, if you don't mind.
George: Mind? I don't mind. I don't think I mind. Martha? Rubbing alcohol for you?
Martha: Sure! "Never mix, never worry!"

To laugh often and much;

To win the respect of intelligent people
and the affection of children;

To earn the appreciation of honest critics
and endure the betrayal of false friends;

To appreciate beauty;
To find the best in others;

To leave the world a bit better, whether by
a healthy child, a garden patch
or a redeemed social condition;

To know even one life has breathed
easier because you have lived;

This is to have succeeded.

A few quotes by Aristotle:

All paid jobs absorb and degrade the mind.

It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it.

Law is mind without reason.

The gods too are fond of a joke.

"You know another thing that makes women such a blessing for us? It's when you're sitting somewhere and they come over and they say to you, "What are you thinking?" And you start thinking, "If I wanted you to know, I'd be talking!" But you can't actually say that to 'em or else they'll kill you. And they're allowed to...see it's that whole period, P.M.S. thing, I don't know, I'm not a doctor...but I think that P.M.S. stands for "Pummel Men's Scrotums."

Friends can help each other. A true friend is someone who lets you have total freedom to be yourself-and especially to feel. Or, not feel. Whatever you happen to be feeling at the moment is fine with them. That's what real love amounts to-letting a person be what he really is.

Akeelah Anderson:- "Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. We ask ourselves, “Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous?” Actually, who are you not to be? We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same." -(Quoting Marianne Williamson)

nod...When we accept that we are powerful beyond measure, that means we also have to accept that we are 100% responsible for our circumstances...and we sincerely do NOT want to do that lol.
