I felt a stone passing from my left kidney into my bladder this morning...pain woke me up, pain is horrendous My husband has suffered with kidney stones for 20 years. About every 2-3 years he gets an attack and usually ends up in the hospital on morphine. He's been lucky because he's been able to pass the stones without intervention, but he is in a lot of pain until the stones have actually passed. If you can pass them on your own, you're very lucky. If the Dr. has to go in after them, look out - OUCH!

I pass most of them ok these days, but afew years back when i didn't have a clue what was going on spent alot of time in the emergency begging for drugs.
Sadly sometimes you'd get some snotty nosed dumbass tryna suggest your drug seeking and pas you off with some shitty crap But these days they seem to be alot smaller and pass ok, and yes...god forbid one of them gets stuck in the urinary tract "Waiting to be banned"

If you do end up in hospital, scream at the top of your lungs until someone gives you some morphine!

My boyfriend had one before. The doctor likened the pain to childbirth for men.
