Yesterday was my birthday... I had the best birthday. My son who joined the army was home for Thanksgiving. That was a gift in itself. He left for Texas @ 5am this morning, but before he did, he bought me a $1200 laptop. I cried.  My computer had recently gotten fried, and I was borrowing one. Then, my older sons took me out, and I got the best back massager. $200, some sterling silver handmade pictures from Mexico.
I had Rick James' daughter sing me Happy Birthday at a dinner club last night. I got a red velvet cake at my table with those annoying candles that never blow out.   And tonight I'm going to see Eve perform at the Alhambra Palace here in Chicago. 
I got many comments from friends here who are on myspace....I am very happy right now.

But, I should kick my own ass. How on earth could I forget the gift I received from a friend? A vintage (bought from a Chicago thrift store) 22'x 28' poster of PRINCE!!!! In a white ruffled open to the waist shirt, holding a red flower, white tight asymmetrical button pants. He's standing against a wooden window with trees in the background.
