No close-ups I'm afraid. She was washing my feet as they had to be clean before I set foot in the house. You should've had that job. You'd have made 200 baht out of it too. I took my shoes and socks off and then had my shoes 'stolen' and had to pay 500 baht to get those back too. 
Come to think of it, I got so played on my wedding day. Everything that happened pretty much involved me giving an envelope of money to someone, and it was a bit of a shock the next day to find out that all the beer my father in-law had gone to the shop down the road to get for the guests (we hadn't planned on drinking beer) had been put on a tab, and I had to pay it! Still, along with the monetary gifts from guests we did get a sandwich maker and Mon got a 23k gold bracelet.

Gold necklaces and money for the parents, money for the girl who washes my feet, money for the people at the symbolic gate in front of the house who let me in, money for the monks, money for the person who beats the others to get my shoes, and money for the beer my father in-law put on the tab, apparently.
My brother and Mon's sister's bf (who's American) had banana trees, which this family are supposed to really want to come to the house, so they got bribed with beer (since that's what us foreigners like best). | |
