Who Is Your Favorite Peanuts Cartoon Character And Why?

My vote would go to Snoopy. I like how he dances, and the cute/funny things he does. What about you?

RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

Franklin.

He's the only one that looks like me.

this is Franklin's debut in a Peanuts cartoon.

ABC just had on'He's A Bully, Charlie Brown'. Chuck goes to bat for little Rerun, winning back all his marbles against a Marbles Shark at camp.

It was so cool to see Charlie Brown kick some ass for a change! nod

Lucy and Linus for sure. And I love the exchanges Woodstock and Snoopy have together. My father has a sizable collection of old paperbacks with the comic strips in them and I've been a huge fan since I was little. I'd like to get the massive collections of the strips that came out a few years ago but they're fairly expensive. pout

I relate most closely to Linus.

...Now if only I could spontaneously recite big blocks of scripture, like him. (A great moment in TV history, IMHO) smile

As a kid, my favorite thing about the paperbacks weren't just the fact that you could read them at at once, but also they were the first time I realized that the storylines lasted for several strips.
I remember being completely being swept in by the drama of the whole Charlie Vs. the kite-eating tree storyline.
And then,
the excitement that welled up inside of me when, in another paper-back, the tree reappeared for another bout with the baseball-shaped blockhead.
For me, it was the kid-equivalent of watching a soap-opera.
Those books were my "stories".

Exactly! The story lines could go on for weeks!

The kite-eating tree is a good one. smile

I forgot the why part.

I love pig pen because he was the outcast of the group. While I'm a clean person, pig pen never really said much and was always on the outskirts of the group where I like to be.

I literally choke back tears everytime I see this part. Actually just the picture of the auditorium has broken me up a little!

I intend to watch it tonight with my 2 girls, for the 50th time

I always understood what they were saying.
But then again, not only was I home-schooled,
but also,
after being abandoned in the storehouse full of orchestra equipment as an infant,
I ended up being raised by a wild pack of trombones.

Whenever I read your posts, I hear Jack Handy's voice.

That is a compliment, BTW.

Whenever I read an Illustator post, I hear the voice of someone I use to know about 10 years ago, he had a very distinct sense of humor as yours. But James wouldn't be caught dead in a Prince site, that is the only thing stopping me from calling you "James"
