What do you like about your enemies? I realize that there are some of us here who manage to either get along well with everyone, or aren't heavy enough posters to have gathered any distaste for fellow orgers here.
That said, I'm sure that the majority of us here have had a 'falling out' or major disagreements with other people, which can lead to dislike and/or hatred, if the situation is extreme enough. Most people here won't want to publicly come out and say they HATE anyone, and by all means--I'm not trying to cause further bad blood between two people. Quite the opposite, actually. Can we, as adults, come out and say that though we don't get along with a specific person or two, we are still capable of seeing the good in these people? I am always intrigued and slightly saddened when I see two good friends of mine clawing and biting at each other. And I wonder if, at calm moments, do they realize how fantastic the opposite person is, despite their differences? Let's put that to the test. WITHOUT masking insults, what are some good qualities about specific people you can't necessarily stand most of the time? Omit names if you'd like. For example: there's a particular person who maddens me to no end in P&R. Thought despite our differences, I truly respect the fact that he is open to new ideas and perspectives. It can be a rare phenomenon for people so passionate about politics to be so mentally open. Can we do this? Oh shit, my hat done fell off

I'll start! I don't consider her an "enemy" per se but I admire that the killer says what she feels. 2010: Healing the Wounds of the Past.... http://prince.org/msg/8/325740

Let me omit the word "hatred" and open it up to orgers who've had heated or hurtful disagreements with other orgers. Not all of us experience hatred on a regular basis. Oh shit, my hat done fell off

hmm.
Are you talking about orgers? I think disliking an orger and considering them an "enime" are two different things. To me, an enemy is someone I want to crush cause we're fighting over some type of resource, etc. etc. But I can dislike strongly several people and not consider them an enemy so to speak. Taking piss at them is fun, and entertaining, but ultimately, doesn't mean I feel like I've actually "won" something. Same in real life. I know a guy in real life who I dislike strongly. I mean STRONGLY. But he knows his shit, and when he's in a meeting he PWNS that shit. You can't throw anything, I mean ANYTHING, his way, without him pulling out documentation to show you why he's right and you're wrong. That, I admire.

![]() I'll just say it. It's pretty widely known that you and Retina don't get along. THAT BEING SAID, I am in awe of your passion for so many different important causes and your seemingly neverending supply of energy for anything and everything you believe in. With Peter, I have incredible respect and admiration for his fearless attitude about relocating to different countries. He's done some incredible things that others are much too afraid to even try. You're both seriously remarkable people. ![]() [Edited 11/20/07 13:07pm] Oh shit, my hat done fell off

And yeah, I mean orgers. But it's cool that you can see things that way with that guy from work. So many people are blinded by their negative views of a person that they seriously think the person is void of positive attributes. Oh shit, my hat done fell off

The people that I learn the most from are generally ones that challenge me or ones that have a very different view from mine I really do not hold onto being angry. I get angry yes I do, in tiny small bursts and then that flame turns into a learning curve. I want to learn about myself and the person that stired that type of emotion in me and I usually do learn something. I like that So I like that about people that stir emotion in me I like the growth and the forward movement it can cause I like feeling that flame then letting it go I like being reminded that I too am not perfect as everyone isn't I like being shown new and interesting views

i'm done having people i don't like on this website...at least for the time being.
as far as real life goes...i don't know if this girl is technically an enemy but we sure don't like each other. I admire her tenacity, especially because it's a quality that I lack in certain situations. There's this other girl who annoys me to no end but I have to say that I admire her confidence. She thinks that everyone loves her and she wears the most ridiculous clothing but acts like it's the coolest thing to wear ever. She still looks like a fool but, hey, she thinks she's pulling it off so more power to her.

I guess I'll point out the single orger I've come closest to actually hating : khlk She's the douche-bag who posted that Asia Tsunami joke that backfired on her. Positive Attributes: Her Prince m&m threads were hilarious. She knew how to stir the water in there and keep it form being a monolithic cultish affair.

Actually, some people here that I viciously and outwardly fight with, like in P&R, I'm really friends with. Psychotic I know, but true 2010: Healing the Wounds of the Past.... http://prince.org/msg/8/325740

There are few people in the world I dislike, strongly or not. I am forever trying to remind myself of the good attributes of people. In fact, if I EVER say a disparaging word about someone, I almost always follow it up with something positive, or point out that we all have some degree of whatever it is about them I'm complaining about, myself included. |

You're one of the most mild-mannered people I know from here. I think you have an uncanny ability to see farther in the future than most, realizing the negative outcome of saying bad/stupid things. Many people could learn from your example, Carrie. Oh shit, my hat done fell off

I dont have any enemies on the org.
Well none that I know of. But in real life, I have a few. This female at my job makes me sick to my stomach. Hearing her voice makes me want to punch myself and I get dizzy whenever she's around. But what I like and admire about her is that she's a very good mother to her children. I loooove kids. And to see her with her own and others make me feel mushy inside. When she's around children she is a totally different person. I just wish she was always around kids. The day I finally kick her ass I hope she's around children. They can save her life.

I admire that they are different than me in that rather than try to be diplomatic and see both sides they stick to their beliefs and are bold enough to call you an idiot if they feel you are one.
I admire and envy that kind of confidence, even though I don't like it very much. My Legacy

I dont really hate people more ideas and the people i tend to tangle with represent and uphold those ideals however i am the kind of guy that can fight with you one moment, be that verbally or even a dust up, and once we are done i am the first to the bar and buying you a drink. Unfortunately there are many here who just get bitchy and act like pussies when people disagree.
I am trying to avoid the ones like that because that is just another attitude that i cant abide.
