As usual, we were arrogent enough that when we got the game back to a draw, we sat back, assuming that was just enough to see off the game. WE ALWAYS DO THIS. We take the easiest route through the game, and get lazy. Havn't England learnt that by now, coasting for the minumum required often makes for dull games, and SHOCK, upsets like today (the 3rd goal from Croatia for example was classic England falling asleep, arrogent enough to assume, that hanging on for a draw, was enough to see off an international team, that is infact, better then us). England have got to get rid of that mindset that they can coast through every game. And as has previously been said, long passes to the centre box, OFTEN DO NOT WORK. Clever passes yes. Short passes, yes, runs down the wing, yes, they work. Long silly "hit and hopes" to the centre area, no they very often get headed away, end of. I agree with nearly all of this, unfortunately, but one thing - if not Gerrard and Lampard, two of the most consistent performers in the Premiership over the last 3 or 4 years, then who? Good point, and as you know, no one can answer that unfortunately. At least Wright Phillips shows some promise I guess? He's no beckham, but at least he runs and tackles people, which I never saw Beckham do 
I guess Campbell will be finished aswell. Richards was pretty ropey (he did play didn't he? All these new guys LOL). Infact, they all were pretty crap really. Crouch was OK, and like in the world cup when Rooney was upfront on his own (4-5-1, a fucking horrible formation), no one could get it to Crouch in the first half, so that wasn't his fault at least. The whole team were shocking tbh, in fact it galls me to say it but it was Beckham that made the difference when he came on.
The back 4 were shakey to say the least, Judas Campbell's legs are shot and it showed,there was no flair at all in midfield and with Crouch up front who was there to deliver the ball to him at kick off? SWP? DO me a favour that boy is good with the ball at his feet but he cant deliver a cross to save his life. Bottom line is that McLaren fucked up the selection for a massively important game. To start with Carson was truly stupid and to mess around like it was a friendly makes him look like a buffoon. I also am pissed that we played the Austria friendly..there was no reason for that, and because of it we lost Owen. I mean why play Robbo in that game? Why not give Carson a run out there and choose between the top 2 keepers for the competitive game. I am so pissed off right now, i sincerely hope that the 8.30 meeting at the FA brings news that the fucktard is gone with no payoff and christmas has been cancelled at his house | |

Ok Phil, i'm on the way to run away very fast from the computer. Very fast... Moanrinho is being talked about. Personally i dont like him and wherever he has been he has had money to spend. National game is different, you get what you get and i am not sure how he would deal with that. However currently at Lancaster Gate (FA) everyone is a "YES" man and Moanrinho would not be that.
