I don't FEEL my age, I know that. Are we supposed to? Do eighty-year-olds feel eighty?

My grandmother will be 97 in January and says her spirit is as young as mine. And I believe every word of it... It gives me great comfort.

sometimes i feel like my age, sometimes younger, and sometimes much older.

i think it depends on the person and the situation.

i dont feel my age either. I feel like im about 12 or something shrug

Only time I feel like an adult is when Im teaching a child about something.
Then after that, we cover each other in paint and eat ice cream.

I look around me all the time and see people my age or younger and think..."Damn, they seem more mature than me."...but some folks have told me that I come across very mature, especially when I'm with my kids...shrug

I think my kids act a lil' more mature than me... biggrin

I can relate to that.

I'm stuck somewhere around age 20.

Of course when I was 20 I was stuck somewhere around age 13.

Maybe I'm just always 7 years behind. shrug

Exactly.

I think it would be better to say, we are always all ages inside.
In spite of the cost of living, it's still popular.

I'm missing 13 and 26, but yeah, close enough.

I actually believe this. Though I'm colored by my experiences, my feelings are basically the same as they were for as long as I can remember. My essential character is exactly the same.

Not only that, but inside, I'm experiencing events from my entire life at the same time. I can focus on some event from childhood, and the feelings become as fresh as the moment they happened, and I feel embarrassed, sad, happy, or whatever I felt at the time.

Obviously I wasn't particularly worldly at 11 years old. But I did have a reckless, aggressive sense of humor...and I think that persists to this very day.

It's actually not uncommon at all for people to blot out their entire childhood. Their memories don't really begin until early adulthood. This is a tragedy...there's something about being 11 that is both intelligent and naive at once that would be a shame to wash away for reasons of blockage.

I had some intense experiences when I was in my late teens.
All of my early to just past my mid-twenties I felt like a very old soul.
now at the end of my 30s I feel like a very smart teenager but still many things soon become rather tiresome. I tend to go my own way.
small circles, big wheels!
I've got a pretty firm grip on the obvious!

my younger grandma just turned 93 and until her body started giving way in the last decade, she said she still felt like a teenager
