It's Wayne Newton's pic that's giving me gas. I mean isn't he 2000 years old or something.

I can't wait to see the men tonight. The Cheetah girl killed it last night. She was hitting a little hard but it was amazing. Althoug it may be a bit unfair 'cause she's a performer/dancer/singer.

Melanie Brown looks like she just burped in that picture.

Dosen't seem all that offensive to me to have such a show. Espescially for people who like dance. But then, I am one of those 70's babies who grew up when variety shows (singing, dancing, skits) were still part the norm in network tv, long before the Jerry Springer/sensationalism/yellow journalism genre took over. Hell, when I was little I used to even have a Marie Osmond doll from the Donnie & Marie tv show era, so I'm actually flabbergsted she can still kick up her heels at this age lol. This stuff just represents a bygone era for me. Sort of like a tv version of a national forum rooted in Vaudville, but specializing in the dance genre. Not more, not less. I admit that I would gladly watch this show in place of of something like COPS . But then hey, whatdaya want? I grew up during the time when entertainment tv was stuff like Flip Wilson, Sonny & Cher, Dolly Parton, & Lawrence Welk. Not to mention the fact that our local tv station had a televised talent show every Sunday for dance and music contestents at 2:00pm falloff

I used to think that Donkashane(spell?) was sung by a woman. Then I saw who was singing and I still thought it was a woman.

Ok, so I saw the "World's Greatest Tap Dancer" and I was less than enthused. I felt like someone had introduced me to the "World's Greatest Knitter". I don't know how do do either, I'm impressed by both skills, but I have no perspective on how this person is the "world's greatest".

Perhaps it's my lack of exposure to the tap dancing world? I just know that if I saw him dancing on stage in front of me, I wouldn't have guessed that he was the greatest tap-dancer in the world (then again, maybe I wouldn't be able to tell the "greatest guitar player" or the "greatest knitter" in the world either). Maybe it takes special knowledge of the field?

I just did a google search and I believe it is Savion. Like I said, I wouldn't know the world's greatest knitter since I don't know anything about knitting. Likewise, I don't know a thing about tap. I thought his tap routine was great, but I wouldn't have guessed that it was the best in the world. Perhaps his brief appearance (3 minutes?) didn't show his best work? Or, perhaps I don't know enough about tap to know what is exceptional and what is not? (obviously my guess is on the latter - that I just don't know tap!)
