This was just the weekend I needed. It could not have been a more perfect Saturday if I had prayed for it.

And today, Sunday, was even better. I went to the Temple earlier in the day (most of the pictures below are from that experience), then practiced mediation with a dear friend of mine. I feel recharged, refresh, and upbeat.

Its been a while since I've eaten Italian though. I'm not a fan of Italian food

I mean, I don't hate it--its just so ubiquitous to the American pallet that I tend to choose other places when going out to eat.


As far as the houses are concerned, certain parts of St. Pete, all of Old Hyde Park village, and many parts of east and north east Tampa are "Bungalow" communities where the architecture is from a different period--not like the Stucco Ghetto that I live in where every thing is a creamy color and lacks distinction from every other house on the block.
Hyde Park has become heavily gentrified though, and you can't make changes to your house with submitting it to an architectural review board to ensure it doesn't offend the historic preservation of the street you live on. In other words, you can't re-stain or even paint your front porch without permission.

Gorgeous area though--I would love to own property there, but it's out of my price range for now.

Actually, I think the Temple is catering to the American "white" crowd, cause the prayers are now being recited in English as well as Thai. This may have something to do with chairs.
