I Have to Do A Powerpoint Presentation in a Few Days

Maybe on Monday.

And I have a few questions for those of you in "the know."

1) wtf is Powerpoint?

More questions will follow depending on the response to this one.

i have to do a presentation tomorrow! and if i don't nail it, my classmates won't know something we're going to be tested on! NO PRESSURE. boxed

i'm thinking i'm going to either a) faint, b) stutter every other word and basically be incoherent, or c) run away to mexico sometime tonight.

mexico's sounding pretty good. hmmm

Basic MS Office program.

The nice thing about powerpoint: it's barely giving a presentation. It's like reading cue cards, but everyone gets to see the cue cards.

Just try and memorize 2-3 things that aren't on the slides; expand on what everyone can see.

It's presentation software, I use it everyday for writing lectures etc.

What is your presentation on?

Whatever you do, don't overdo it on the sound effects. Many a time I've sat looking like this eek while discussion points fly in from different angles accompanied by either applause, gun shots or, "d-doing," noises.

Hideous!

lol

I don't use any of that bullshit.

Clear headings, bullet points, the rule of 6 and the odd figure or video for illustrative purposes.

try doing your presentation using a false voice, emo philips or christopher walken perhaps. It may distract them from the powerppint slides. Also a little dance, a jig perhaps, may get you through the trickier moments.

biggrin
It's a mess, ain't it, sheriff?
If it ain't, it'll do till the mess gets here

That's actually not a bad idea, but I don't know how to do a jig. Can you send me a Powerpoint presentation on how to do one? Though I doubt I'll be able to open it. (It's a vicious circle!)
