i have to do a presentation tomorrow! and if i don't nail it, my classmates won't know something we're going to be tested on! NO PRESSURE.
i'm thinking i'm going to either a) faint, b) stutter every other word and basically be incoherent, or c) run away to mexico sometime tonight. mexico's sounding pretty good.

my kids told me about powerpoint today they said there was a red dot and a yellow arrow and it has different worlds in it, like a game. Hope that helps!

Basic MS Office program.
The nice thing about powerpoint: it's barely giving a presentation. It's like reading cue cards, but everyone gets to see the cue cards. Just try and memorize 2-3 things that aren't on the slides; expand on what everyone can see.

It's presentation software, I use it everyday for writing lectures etc.
What is your presentation on? Happy is he who finds out the causes for things.Virgil (70-19 BC). Virgil was such a lying bastard!

Whatever you do, don't overdo it on the sound effects. Many a time I've sat looking like this while discussion points fly in from different angles accompanied by either applause, gun shots or, "d-doing," noises.
Hideous! | |

Hideous! I don't use any of that bullshit. Clear headings, bullet points, the rule of 6 and the odd figure or video for illustrative purposes. Happy is he who finds out the causes for things.Virgil (70-19 BC). Virgil was such a lying bastard!

Hideous! Don't JINX me! Now I'm going to overdo the sound effects! I *know* it! I bet I wouldn't have to edit if I was using Powerpoint [Edited 11/16/07 3:49am]

try doing your presentation using a false voice, emo philips or christopher walken perhaps. It may distract them from the powerppint slides. Also a little dance, a jig perhaps, may get you through the trickier moments.

That's actually not a bad idea, but I don't know how to do a jig. Can you send me a Powerpoint presentation on how to do one? Though I doubt I'll be able to open it. (It's a vicious circle!)
