Congrats.. I used to be a barista myself, even went on a training course with the World Barista Champion - James Hoffman, although he was only the UK Champion at the time..
He taught me how to do this.. Anyway have fun, good luck. Some people are like Slinkies...
They're good for nothing but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down the stairs.

CarrieMpls said: It's a little independently owned coffee shop suppoerted solely by the people who live in the neighborhood. They also serve wine and beer and a bit more food than your typical coffee place. I know dealing with the public isn't always fun, but I know it's not gonna be that bad.
Sounds like a great job. Let me see if I'm translating this correctly....you will be working in an exclusive neighborhood as a quasi waitress at a coffee spot that's actually more like a diner (but a little more trendy) where people outside of the neighborhood do not frequent because they are probably not welcome? :hmmm: Going to church doesn’t make you a Christian, any more than standing in a garage makes you a car.

And all are welcome, I just can't imagine anyone traveling there just for some coffee. So it's quite localized. In any case. My first night went well! 3 hours of work and I made $11 in tips. Not bad. I made lattes and chais and cappucinos and served a few beers as well. woo-hoo. |

In any case I asked about it and they just told me that's what it was. I'm gonna ease my way up to seeing how to go about changing the stations. As it was, the music wasn't bad, though. And I enjoy steaming milk, btw. The sounds is quite lovely. |

Hey! Congrats!
I was trained to do coffee from this incredibly ancient machine at my last job. I loved it, but am now like a walking coffee critic - very annoying for loved ones.
