Podcasts

Podcasts are the new rage. I'm going to start one. What do you know about them? What podcasts do you listen to? Do you subscribe to any?

okay, so it's a weekly songlist supported by a blog and myspace. I assume they don't need rights or licensing to use all those songs? hmmm

Well, sure you're "supposed" to.
The playlist is from my dj set.
The actual podcast is 10 songs taken from the set.
At the end i give all of the song titles and artists who performed them.

If you keep it small, you shouldn't have any problems.

Thanks!
I started doing them once a week in January, and it's been pretty successful. I've got a few people that actually listen, which is amazing.

wow, I didn't realize they made podcasts that long. From what I was hearing, people were keeping them rather short, so I just assumed.

I'm listening to the Ricky Gervais show.

Also some radio shows are available as podcasts and I've listened to them occasionally.

All the big shows are available: Fresh Air, This American Life, A Prairie Home Companion cloud9

The New Yorker has a bunch of them from different departments of the magazine. I've been listening to the fiction/short story podcast.

I love the subscribe option, where it automatically downloads any new podcasts into your Itunes.
