You might as well say Replublican vs. democrat. It will be divided along those lines.Republicans will say Bush can do no wrong,Dems will say the same about Clinton.I'm a member of the common sense party. But i did have a better time during the Clinton years and Clinton seems to come across more like the average joe.

yeah but back in a lil place we like to call reality...we have real problems that need to be dealt with...

Everyone keeps talking about Bill Clinton's interview on David Letterman from Sept 11. While I didnt get to see it, many of my friends said that he broke down the Middle Eastern problem with such skill that it pained them to think of how better off at handling this matter he wold be.. If anyone saw this episode, im really interseted in what was said..please post a summary...

thanks.. kee

Kee,

http://www.cbsnews.com/st...1789.shtml

My gf and I watched this interview over the phone and, politics nerds that we are, we couldn't get over the depth to which Clinton broke it down. The man's obviously intelligent and knows policy backward and forward. To summarize, he talked about how the Palestinians and Israelis must get to a place where they're tired of the violence (and the impact it has on their children), much like what has happened in N. Ireland.

He also wowed the crowd and us with analyses of environmental industry (oil alternatives), Iraq and his quick timing with Letterman.

When Clinton was President, things were so much better.

The economy was strong,we were paying down the national debt,we were balancing the budget,we were still on good terms with other countries, and we were generally headed in the right direction.

Now we have Bush, and look what's happened. We have a President who basically "stole" the election (more people actually voted for Gore). We have a President who adopts a dangerous "go-it-alone" strategy when dealing with foreign affairs. We have a President who isn't the least bit concerned about our ailing economy, and the fact that we no longer have a surplus. We have a President who is gonna keep starting wars just to keep his ratings high and to insure his re-election.Under his watch,we have all these terrorist attacks,an unfinished war with Al Queda (where is Osama,or did Bush conveniently forget that he may still be out there?),people afraid to go to their mailboxes and open their mail, and now these "sniper" attacks that have already killed 9 people.Welcome to America.

Even though Clinton lied to everyone about the head situation he was the best between the two. Bush is war crazy and trying to make everyone pay for his stupidity.

Clinton by a landslide. He is much more in tune with international affairs and leaders, and understands that we don't need to blow things up to keep people's attention. That and i can't help but laugh everytime W talks. I hope i'm not the only one who can see how inept this man is.

Totally true, based on the initial reasoning of Pres. Bush that he would act alone and did not need permission from Congress to "strike first" if he wanted to. There was a column by Mitch Albom that was so on, it was presented in a business school assignment.

I love Clinton!!!

Clinton of course, but I don't agree with his personal actions and the way he obtained his money, but I agree that he kept the country in very good shape. Bush is just as crooked in his personal life, but he runs the country just as crooked as his personal life, which sucks for all of us.

I, like SaffireSeven, let God Jehovah, Yahweh, Father of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, rule my personal life. I render to Caesar what is his, and to God what is his, so I give God my soul.

Don't dream in W's.

I can care less about the whole democrat/republican squabble, I hate politics in general.

But I have to say, from the best of my feeble observations, Bush sucks ass. Based on hearing both talk, Clinton is insanely more articulate and reasonable.

We have two more years of Bush to put up with, and I hope to god this country gives him the boot.

Yes, but can you blame Clinton for lying? Personally, I don't care who the man gets head from...it was probably good for him anyway -- who wants an uptight president?
