America's sick rationalization about violence.

I was watching the Bravo channel on cable and they were showing the 30 best horror movies; one film, oldman is some Korean ultra-violence schlock that seems to be the big thing in Asia, Bravo has no problem showing a man taking someone's teeth out with a hammer, (eww, yes, sick), But at the same time they would censor the nudity or swear words. What kind of fucking double standard is that? Isn't seeing someone's teeth being yanked out sicker then some ladies tit or the f-word? I blame religion for our sickness. They made sex taboo while violence is a-ok.

Just baffles me.
All you others say Hell Yea!! woot!

Not to mention it's on cable, and there is TONS of nudity and sex on cable...not just violence.

violence is natural and pervades all of life.

Life is flesh on bone convulsing above the ground.

Everyone is aware that life is parodic and that it lacks an interpretation.

I thought that movie was called "Oldboy".

I liked it.

And like Sammij said, Bravo in Canada does not cut out any scenes.

Aye, you say it with your hand on your hip and a pout. They'll all be saying it on Ugly Betty next series, you watch.

Your large hips and shoulder ratio lend you a brutish demenour. It may not work for you in the intended wiggly-arsed camp satirical todays-headlines-tomorrow's-chip-wrapper casual throwaway sense it was intended. But, hey, if you've got a gun, shoot.

that's our dear friend HiinEnkelte. lol

i saw most of this on tv this summer, it's a really interesting documentary dealing with america's insistence on overly censoring sex while not minding violence: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0493459/

Oh, I like him. Completely mad and deluded by his own ego and intelligece, but he'd likely say the same thing about me. I'd like a chat with him over several bottles of Merlot and a few grams of nice moist Moroccan hashish.

you have to admire his persistence in trying to turn nearly every p&r thread into a mess of multiple quotes and avoidance. nod

I like messy threads. I don;t trust ones where its 'this is my opinion' 'oh, very interesting and thouhgt-proviking. However I disagree because (case for your personal deity here)..' 'Well that is also very interesting and thought provoking perception. Good night sir and keep thinking those magical unique thoughts no matter how much I disagree!' 'You too, my friend. You too.'

I just prefer people to call a pious cunt a pious cunt.
