I'm weird in that I won't pay a lot for shoes but I would spend 800 euro on a designer bag (if I had that much to spend!)..80-100 euro is the most I will spend and that is usually buying a pair of waterproof warm leather boots for the winter as I walk everywhere..during the summer cheap shoes from Primark will do me.

I don't know if I'm looking for something more "dressy" necessarily, but definitely for something more mature.

Black is a good colour since I don't want my shoes to be too eye-catching but brown or grey or similar colours would be okay too. I think I want something sturdy but not too big and clumsy.

In 1984, I bought a pair of purple suede and snakeskin boots that were made by Maserati. Paid $240 for them. (Don't even want to think what that would translate to now.) Wore them to see the Purple Rain tour at the Rosemont Horizon.

I still have them. They still fit. I still wear them. And someday, I'll wear them to another Prince concert.
