Does your employer help out in this? Wow. That's a lot of dough.

I own a vw beetle so it costs only about 40 bucks to fill up.
But thank GAWD I work from home 2 to 3 days a week. This saves me at least 50 to 70 dollars a month I think.

Plus I only live 11 miles from work.

I've been driving my sister's LR3 (11 miles per fucking gallon) last month, and it cost me a fortune to fill it up. I finally rearrange my garage so it would fit in my garage so I could continue driving the beetle.

In 2009, Toyota is rumored to release a 100 mpg Prius. I'm seriously considering it.

It's a double edged sword. On the one hand, nobody wants gas to be expensive, and it really has a negative affect on the economy. On the other hand, how will we ever have incentive to go "green" if gas/fossil fuels remains the most inexpensive option?

And from what I hear, prices are only going up sad

Working close to home right now so I only fill up about every 2 weeks, & it takes about $48 to fill my car right now. So under $100/mo. smile That'll all change soon sigh

I fill my gas tank about every other week and that's about $40. So roughly $80-100 a month.
I drive to work and back every day (18 miles one way) and avoid driving as much as possible for everything else. Not just cause of gas prices, and the environment and all, but because I hate driving. lol

what I think sucks is that companies like Chevron and Shell seem to have "cornered the market" for producing alternative energy sources....somehow, I just dont think they're working on it as hard as they advertise but they certainly have the financial ability to swallow up any new technology in alternative energy advancements...fuckers...disbelief

ZombieKitten

the master has a company wagon, so we pay for the petrol of that on with pre-tax dollars, which would be about AUS$250 per month, and we make sure to use that car all the time when possible. I fill mine up once every month or so, so that is about AUS$50

A little over $60 a month, and yes, that is in US currency.

I live a little over 4 miles from the TV station and 12.5 miles away from the air force base. I seem to do most of my driving out of Toledo, visiting friends and family in Detroit and Cleveland.

About $80 a month. I usually only drive in town. I've been thinking about getting a Prius. A friend of mine has one and I was very impressed when I rode in it.
