Ok this just in..... We have made it to the semi final rounds!




What this means: 100 bands/colorguards have competed for the top in the US in the BOA championships. |Tonight they just reduced that number to 33.

Tomorrow early we compete against those 33 for a hopeful spot in the top 12 finals.

Ok, so competition begins tommorow at 500am West Coast which is 8am where she is at the RCA dome...


Her team takes the stadium at 945am.....

Ok so I just set up to receive a transmission of her performance live on the net... ( All performances actually) I am still waiting for a verification email.. Ive set my alarm and placed my phone behind my bed so when she calls I am ready to roll.... coffee pot is stuffed and ready to prep warm goodness at the 430 hour ( the butt crack of dawn)

I wish I could be there but it took all I could to get the $3000.00 it takes for her to be there!

I couldn't be there for Maddi's winning performance. It was in Southern Utah on a work day and I'm saving vacation time (and $$ to but not so good at that) to go see them perform at Disneyland in Spring 08.

This was her first year in Field Performance. I learned alot. Start times are solid...show up 5 min lates they will be on the field. Show up 10-15 min late and you'll have driven 2-3 hours to watch them walk off the field

Performances happen rain or shine. I now own just about every type of wet/cold weather gear imaginable.

But it's a blast!

Band rocks!!

And BTW...that setting up for a transmission of the performance is cool as hell!

Is that something the band has set up and available to parents?
