Ladies....let's talk about shoes!

what is the must you would spend or have spent ona pair of boots or shoes? i have been looking for a very specific type of boot for a while and i saw them today for $174! eek for me that is very steep but i'm considering it. is that way too much?

they are 80's style black pattent leather ankle boots with that v-shape cut in the front some a little of your foot is exposed and they have a blue lining flap thingy that shows. i love them!!!!! even the heel is perfect at only 1 inch. i can't wear high heels.

Oh, I love this thread already... biggrin

I am going to buy a pair of Christian Louboutin platform heels before I die. They're about $1000. Yes, ridiculous...But, I don't care. I'm still going to get them. They are beautiful and I deserve them.

if you're into skinny jeans i would say you should go with some hot ankle boots with a nice little heel.

The most I've ever spent is around $190. They're beautiful shoes.
I don't wear them often, though.

I'd say my usual price range is in the ballpark of $60-100 per pair.

I usually stay in the $50-$100 range for shoes. I love them but I'm not much of a label whore. If it's cute, I buy it. These are my favorite shoes.

Thanks! I get tons of compliments when I wear them. A friend of mine thinks they're ugly and she rolls her eyes every time someone tells me how cute they are. She knows they're cute, she's just jealous!

I am a 7 1/2 wide, and I hate any shoe no matter how cute that will cut up my feet. Dang, that just made me sound like an old lady lol

Luckily for me I live in Beantown, and only 10 minutes away from a shoe outlet that sells all kindsa shoes at dicsount prices....

I am married now to all my Joan&David, Borne, Hilary Bradley and Dansa shoes, those brands don't give me blisters or any thing....and I get each pair for about 30-40 bucks....and I even found a gorgeous pair of Coach boots for only 20 bucks!
All shoes are last season usually, but can't beat the prices for new shoes....WAY better than any department store sale!

I now have too many shoes....must buy more handbags!!!

I really wish I could post pictures pout

PS julie those shoes are very "ho-cake"(term used for hate you too cute)...LOVE THEM....cute toesies BTW, I hate it when sloths wear open toes.

Just wait til your son becomes a teenager...you'll be spending lots of money on shoes again lol

I feel you though, I miss the time I would only spend on me, the usual $$ I spent on shoes before children was 100-200....not any more.

The most I've spent is $140.00 on shoes. that was probably six years ago. my priorities and tastes in footwear have changed a bit since then; kid, a million bills, etc.
Now I refuse to cross the $100.00 line. Hell, I won't really cross $80.00 for shoes.

I thought I was being pretty cool & gracious when I bought my lady a pair of $160 dollar shoes. I can't remember the name of the shoe; it was a small boutique. They were a a rusty orange faded color with a cool pattern burnt in brown all over, the heel was a vertical stripe. I knew they were out of her price range, I knew she loved them, and I knew they would go with a lot of the clothes she has...

A week later she went back and bought a second pair in (snore) black.

hmmm Interesting Black pumps. Well, I know that when it comes down to selecting heels or boots the following things are paramount regardless of price: shoes quality, style, color(outfit coordination) and comfort.
