This made me LOL, seriously! Why would I want to be a site moderator for ANY internet website, when there are so many kooks around? It takes a certain person to be able to moderator any site, and I know I'm not the one. That is why I give the moderators on the org so much credit. They do a tough job and do not get paid for it. Shoot, if I were a site moderator, I would not put up with any crap from anybody. I'd be banning people left and right.

They will pay you $52K to read posts? And ban people?

Well, I just took RodeoSchro and butterfli25's advice and filled out the online application. I got a message saying that they will contact me within 1-3 working days. Funny thing is, it seems like every time I do this, I never hear a thing from anybody. Guess it can't hurt to try, although I'm still not sure that this is what I want to do as a career. Plus, they're asking for experience using Coldfushion, which I don't know a thing about, I've never even heard of it before. I'm willing to learn it, I'm just not sure if they'd be patient and/or willing to have me take a class or whatever to learn how it works. Guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Holy crap, everybody is saying it's a scam. I should have listened to the inner voice inside of me that was questioning it. Hopefully, these fools will never contact me. If so, I will report them!

It's human nature, especially when you've been out of work for a while, as I have. I think these scam companies target people like me, because they know that I've been unemployed for awhile, and that I might be willing to take whatever comes along. I wish these places could get shut down, but I don't know if it will ever happen. At any rate, I took my resume off monster.com and careerbuilder.com (for now anyway). I don't need any more weirdos contacting me.
