Ex-Moderator | work clothes Do you change your clothes when you get home from work?
I'm finding lately that I change practically as soon as I walk in the door. If I'm going out or have plans, I may or may not change, depending on what I'm wearing and where I'm going. But if I know I'm just going to be hanging around the house I'm immediately into PJs or something. Do you do this? |

I wear very crappy clothes to work because I get grease on my hands alot and the fabric I work with dyes my clothes yellow. If I am going somewhere I will usually try to change. [Edited 11/13/07 16:02pm] -Dean is the cheese to my macaroni-

I don't change immediately. Some friends automatically put sloppy clothes on when they get in. But my routine is so crazy that most times I am out the door as soon as I get in.
I may change later, after dinner, so long as I KNOW I don't have other plans. If the other plans are something more sexy, then yes, I do change. Procrastination is the art of keeping up with yesterday.

Perhaps you should buy it a nice sweater or something, then. Maybe a parka. |

I usually change.
I used to change into my dingy (or, 'relax clothes' if you will) but now I either dress up, or wear something casual. Just depends on if I have plans afterwards. "For those who know the number and don't call...Fuck all y'all"

I like to keep my work clothes nice and not spill my dinner over them, or get them covered in dog hair, so they are off when I get in, and tracksuit bottoms and t shirt on! Maybe even jeans if I have company! Rock n roll baby

My shoes and any jewelry I'm wearing come off immediately. I have 3 rings I wear every single day but it's weird, I simply canNOT wear them in my house, but if I leave the house without them on I feel all discombobulated. |

I have "house clothes" that I change into when I come home. I have two cotton slips that are way comfy and some capri pajama pants and assorted t-shirts that I wear around the house. It helpe me relax once I'm at home, even if I'm only going to be home for an hour.

When I had a job that required suit and tie, definitely! With other jobs, not necessarily. Thankfully I've never had a job that required any kind of uniform. That would have come off even faster than the suit and tie.

We have a fairly strict dress code at work and they "prefer" us to wear suits. I get away with quite a lot more than I should, though. |

The definition of "suit and a tie" is very narrow, but what is the exact corresponding ladieswear? I remember that in Japan, the ladies had to wear something with a "dress collar" (or something like that), and there were a few other specific guidelines, but other than that it was open for interpretation (and thereby led to conflict every now and then...).
