TOO MANY TIP JARS!

ok firstly

im a pretty good tipper

but there is a phenomenon that i am starting to become concious of that

i find disturbing


tip jars in every work environment i frequent

delis
pharmacys
pizza parlours
cleaners

etc. etc.

hooo fuckin faa already with this

what the F?!?


do your job folks and give the hand out jug a rest


your making me a sandwich not wiping my face for god sakes

i'd only tip like that if i was getting special treatment.
like a hand job or something.

fast food places are doing that here I tip well and count on tips at my job. And I did give special treatments to my clients but sorry horatio no hand hobs

I'm getting sick of tipping. Many of the friends I had that were working as waiters and waitresses were clearing obscene amounts of money, in bars, and feeling a sense of entitlement to it, like if you didn't give 10 bucks for a 7 dollar drink, the customer was the jerk. I mean seriously. You looked at me, grabbed a bottle, and poured, and that's worth 3 bucks!?

The ones who do get treated like crap, like those at mcdonalds, they're working their asses off in a bland, depressing building with complaining impatient customers, and they don't get tipped. I think the roles should be reversed.

ugh. tipping. I always tip generously, but it's because I feel obliged to, not because I want to.

My favorite burritto place has a tip jar at the register and a tip jar in front of the people that prepare your food. NOT ONLY THAT but there's a homeless person at the front door. By the time I leave my $6 burritto cost me $9.

I noticed this too. I tip when I'm being served food or drinks because I know that this is the way they make money. Then you have cab drivers, coat checkers, luggage dudes...ehhh it gets to be too much. As far as a convenience store or pharmacy or pizza place...PFFT!!! Eat me! You ain't gettin shit!

I'm not too keen on 'Tips Please' jars and plates. I think you ought to earn your pay. What really irks me is when you see somebody on the till deliberatly looking at the tips jar when they haven't done anything to warrant a tip. I will give a tip to a waiter/waitress for sure if I've enjoyed their service.

If they look at the tip jar when I'm paying (kinda pushing the issue) I say "Here's your tip, are you ready?...Don't beg for money, it's not a good look on you."

are you F-ing kidding me?...what the he$$ is a tip jar doing in a PHARMACY????



I tip for GOOD service...PERIOD!
I was a waitress for 10 yrs & MOST people are generous (thank god) I would NEVER ask someone if they wanted thier change back.

the sound of tips rattling in jars right now HURtS MY HEAD and the SOUND ISN'T EVEN THERE.

Starbucks has one on the outside of their drive-thru window. My cousin works there and I was like "wtf" when I went to go see her there. People tell her all of the time that someone could just drive off with it. I could've easily done it.....especially at night.....while she's working the drive-thru. Nah.
