I met Leonard Nimoy! He came to the Houston Museum of Fine Art to give a lecture,Q&A, and book signing about his book of photography "The Full Body Project".
http://www.leonardnimoyph.../7body.htm He's a first class guy, and successful director, and of course... actor. I was just watching (and making my friends watch) the 1978 Philip Kaufman version of "Invasion of the Body Snatchers". Where he plays... a celebrity author who appears at a booksigning... hmmm.... He was funny and seemed kind, and had the best stories to share. He's due on set in December for the JJ Abrams (LOST) new Star Trek movie as Spock. Winona Ryder has been set to be cast as a relative (his mother???) of his character as well. This was news to him at the Q&A, and he cracked up. My art book: http://www.lulu.com/spotl...ecomicskid

NICE! I met him in Reno a couple years back (I think he lives somewhere around there), but I was EXTREMELY drunk and was having really bad heart palpitations and had to excuse myself.

Oh that's wonderful! I was just looking at the classic star trek episode when he and captain kirk contacted radiation poisoning and started to get real old. That was a great one. Conratulations! [Edited 11/11/07 17:49pm]

[Edited 11/11/07 17:49pm] He had a great story about his idea to have a vulcan greeting/salute that consisted of a Jewish ceremonial hand sign he saw as a child. He came up with the idea for the "Amok Time" episode where Spock gets horny and has to go home. The woman playing the Vulcan matriarch couldn't do the sign easily, so she had to keep her hand in the shape with her other hand off camera until it was time to raise the salute. You should have asked him if Shatner's a pain-in-the-ass to work with.
