Snow! Love it or leave it?

Well it's that time of the year, let it snow, let it snow! Time 2 break out the winter clothes, hats, gloves and coats! Time 2 fire up the furnace, and drink hot cocoa.Time 2 go snowmobling and sleddin',time to make snow angels and snowmen!(women also)! I love winter,it's time 4 Mother earth 2 rest up 4 next year when she breaks out her palatte of magical colors! But 4 now the color of the day is white! What a glourious site!Come Christmas, another Birthday 2 celebrate !
peace PEACE.....It does not mean 2 be in a place where there is no noise, trouble,or hardwork. It means 2 be in the midst of those things and still be calm in your heart ! heart

I love snow. I own more pairs of mittens than I do pairs of shorts! I also like snow days, when you're inside just relaxing looking out at the beautiful snow falling and glittering.

I just don't get it.. Every fucking year, when the first big snowfalls arrive, there are HUGE headlines in every magazine saying: "Snowfall suprised unexpected motorists. " How can ppl be suprised evey god-damn year..?

I feel exactly the same. I always said we should only get 2 weeks of snow a year. The week and a half or so leading up to Xmas, and it's gone by New Years.

BUT - It's kind of necessary sometimes. If there's none on the ground in February, it's kind of ugly, what with the dead grass and bare trees. It makes everything prettier.

And there's nothing like the quiet, hush that falls in a heavy snowfall. It dampens everything and makes the city seem, well, very different. mushy

It's the same here. There are ALWAYS more auto accidents the first couple of snowfalls of the year than practically the rest of the winter combined. Every year everyone forgets how to drive in it. lol

I did my 17 years in it (born and raised in B'klyn NYC) and decided to LEAVE IT.
Life has enough to deal with without adding snowy cold weather to the equation.

One of the benefits of L.A. is being able to go to it (during ski season) and then get away from it the same day.

Hey, I grew up in Chicago for 7 years then spent the next 11 years on the east coast, so I can relate lol lol...but I still miss seeing an entire field covered in new-fallen snow, no footprints or disturbances of any kind...there's something about seeing it snow that makes everything even more quiet. I think it's that with rain, you hear each raindrop when it hits the ground, so you expect to hear something with each snowflake as well...but you don't. It really emphasizes the absence of sound...

But yeah, I do love that I can drive up into the San Bernardino mountains during the winter and experience the snow, then drive an hour and a half and be at the beach if I want to lol thumbs up!. But I miss waking up to it snowing, being surrounded by it when I know I have absolutely nowhere to go...

First snow here tonight. When I look out of the window everything is white. I have mixed feelings about it. I hate it when it's cold, but it does look beautiful when the snow is fresh and new nod.

I seriously love snow . I still have many supplies to get for this winter. Once I have everything then we could be snowed in for a month and it's all good. cool

Well, it's nice to have snow for Christmas and New Years. After that, it can go back to where it came from.
RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.
