Car boot sales I have never done one before, and was wondering if anyone had sold there things at a car boot sale. I have alot to give to charity, but I would like to sell some of my things also. Any success? Any advice? I am not relishing the thought of getting up at 5am, so I guess I can just stay up all night. Procrastination is the art of keeping up with yesterday.

Never heard of it. So you get up at five a.m., put stuff in the trunk of your car and then...wait for people to show up and buy the stuff, or what?

I've never heard of it either... Is it like some version of a garage or yard sale? |

did one once, but I resented selling my cds and books to freaky looking people who smelt of biscuits so I packed up and went home. depending on what you're selling you could ebay/amazon it?

The term refers to the selling of items from a automobile's "boot" (UK), or "trunk" (U.S.). Although a small proportion of sellers are professional traders selling new goods or seconds, the goods on sale are often used but no longer wanted personal possessions. Car boot sales are a way of focusing a large group of people in one place to recycle still useful but unwanted domestic items that previously would have been thrown away. In U.S. terms, a car boot sale would be considered somewhere between a garage sale or yard sale and a flea market or swap meet, with the latter two typically requiring some form of municipal business licensing. Of the general public types, while garage sales are not unknown in the UK, car boot sales are much more popular.

I once bought some at a a "Buy 3, get 1 free" sale. Being that I never used 'em, to this day, the "car-accessories consumer" part of me is still riddled with buyer's remorse.
