Okay according to Ocean my SS is stuck, so here it goes:
DVDs or CDs are always a safe bet, but I'd also enjoy weird gadgets, clothing items, home-made things, local specialties from the SS's home country or state (maybe not typical souvenirs like snowglobes or keyrings though), board games, kitchenware, magazines, art&crafts, etc etc... Unusual or very specific items are always fun too. It doesn't matter if it fits my usual interests or not; I'd be really intrigued and excited if I got a gas mask or a pomelo peeler or a map of Alabama or something like that.
I'm not much of a book reader and I'm not too big on edible presents either, but other than that I'd say anything goes. If my SS is totally stuck then s/he could just go for something s/he would like to receive, and I'm sure I'll like it too!

I heard from a little bird that my SS is having some trouble...I once posted that anything that my SS would give me, would make me smile, because it would be from them.
But to give you some ideas.... I love harlequin dolls I have a thing for wine I LOVE picture frames, because I love showing off my family! I also really like wind chimes. I love lotions and candles My favorite color is purple. I hope that helps some...if my SS still is having trouble..let Ocean know.
