Huh. (insert meaningful subject) I feel kinda 'over' the org, in a way that I haven't before. I check it because I'm an addict and it's habit, ingrained over YEARS. But. . .same threads, same arguments, same drama. And I know that nobody cares whether I'm here or not, because my friends have other ways of communicating with me, and my-non friends, well, they have no reason to care. So. . .yeah. . .over it.
But it still takes up my time. I wish I knew how to quit you. Some oldskool orgers have successfully left. Not many, but a few. I wonder how they did it? If they were here, I'd ask them. Huh. oh noes, prince is gonna soo me!!1!

I won't say I'm over the org.
But I only open a few threads now. And like you, I've made friends from the website who contact me through alternate means, cellphone, skype, or yahoo. So it's not necessary to communicate through orgnotes as heavily as before. Overall, this is a special place though. Great folks. Great laughs. I especially love the Rushing07/Jess/Hokie/Monigram group. They totally get along and don't digress into the acidic banter we oldschoolers do (yes, I consider myself an olderschooler now )

And I resent my gamma ray bursts, supervolcano, Scientology Vegan lunch, threads being group into the repetitive subjects

Huh. yeah, you're singing a song that's been going through my head for quite a while too. my theory is that site like this work in waves, where a group of people come in, bond with each other, create an exciting atmosphere, and then eventually folks kinda leave the flock and it disintegrates and then a whole new wave takes over and the cycle happens again with all new people, perhaps with a few stragglers left over from the last org zeitgeist. sometimes i wish ben would just knock the "prince" from prince.org and turn it into a regular social networking site. it could be a virtual neighborhood pub that thrives on its own history and population. i bet it would still thrive, with or without the prince connection.

Prince is entirely irrelevant to this place, except that when he does something "interesting" we get a new flock of orgers. oh noes, prince is gonna soo me!!1!

And I guess I'm feeling like they'll be just as neat when I meet them at an invasion eventually, and if I don't, then. . . I'm not that interested in org-only friendships. I'm getting enough from my IRL friendships, including those formed via the org, that I just don't really care. Even though it think there are cool newbies. oh noes, prince is gonna soo me!!1!

I've been coming here less and less, but it may be because the people that I've connected to most, I communicate with via yahoo, email, and phone. I'm still here though. I'm sure that the site will liven up again
