The wild thing is how he got in. Suburbans have a long window on each side. He had taken the weatherstripping off the driver's side long window, worked the glass out (which had to weigh 50 pounds or more), and set the window INSIDE the Suburban. Then he climbed in through the window.

He did all this without setting off a pretty sensitive motion detector.

I was impressed. In a "Fuck you, asshole" kind of way.

jacked up because ... we moved out of one neighborhood because progressively over time it was getting worse, drugs, violence, my son's bike was stolen twice, the last time it was only recovered because the kids who stole it took it down the back and ran into vice who were raiding the corner store, so we move to a "better" neighborhood, everything is lovely for over a year, one night I run to go get my son from football practice, only gone about 15 minutes and my daughter's bike is stolen from the driveway. Jacked up because she won the bike for perfect attendance, and really it was a cheapo bike from the school but she loved it, and they took her cheapo bike and left my son's Mongoose trick bike????
