bad day/post your rant here thread So today I had an 8 hour seminar about money, career, and personal finance. It was quite helpful but also majorly overwhelmed and otherwise scared the crap out of me.
Also, I have a bunch of idiots in my class. Seriously...so many of them are idiots. Like blockhead, desparate idiots. Then...when I was taking care of my surgery donkey I spilled his medication all down the back of my coveralls. It sucked. Thankfully one of my friends helped me out. And...it's been raining for days. Blech. During this whole stressful/annoying day I came to the conclusion that every man I ever dated never really cared about me and somehow convinced myself that I will never find anyone ever. So now I have frizzy hair from all this rain, afraid that I'm going to be broke my whole life and die on the streets with only my DVM degree to protect me from the elements, and I feel like I'm never going to have another boyfriend again nevermind get married and have kids. Cripes...bad days just kinda snowball. I'm going to eat dinner, read my book, meditate, and try to get out of this mindset. Thanks for listening. PS: is it wrong to what to be financially stable and also want the same of a future spouse? just wondering...

Poor Jess.
I was a bit bummed about having to buy this cool black suede jacket for $40, when I noticed it had a white smudge on the collar. I was about to gripe for some $ to be knocked off, when I saw that the saleswoman had managed to clean it. I mean, I have to look cool for this weekend's game and all, right? But then, I'm a bit bummed because I rarely buy clothing, and I didn't need need the jacket, though it's nice to have an in-between weather jacket for this tricky fall season that I can wear with jeans and dressier work clothing. So, I'm all a-guilt over paying $40, when I see that it was originally priced at $120 (but retailers usually mark up original prices to sucker shoppers into splurging -- like I had). Well, that was yesterday. And I woke up this morning thinking that I was performing the music I was actually hearing on the jazz station to which I awaken in the mornings. It was awesome music ... just not mine... But, hey, at least we awoke.

That is the strangest damn sentence I've ever seen in my life. You took the words right out of my mouth!!! I kept reading it just to make sure I wasn't missing anything.... He was like a cock who thought the sun had risen to hear him crow.

So the past few days have consisted of showing my replacement the ropes...all that we do and have done over the past 15 months....only...my guys did some major work out here, so the need for another cable team/platoon isn't quite as great. I had my guys teach their guys how to properly terminate fiber optic cables using a variety of methods and took them on the dime store tour....but thats....about....it...
...I should be jumping for joy that this ordeal is almost done, but its annoying as hell to have my replacement ask me a gazillion questions over and over when I keep telling him whats what..he's not getting that each mission we took on was different and whatever piece of the pie he gets he's gonna have to use a bit of independent, outside the box thinking and planning....for me its just frustrating to see a fellow (albeit junior) NCO fearful of acting decisively...especially when the alternative is instead of having his troops learn some valuable skills out here, he's gonna pussyfoot around until the end up pulling escort guard duty for over a year.... He was like a cock who thought the sun had risen to hear him crow.

My life feels like a royal fucking disaster right now. I don't even know how to talk about it.
Financial stability and the perils of partnership are high on the list of problems. No donkey medication down my back, though. So, I guess I should be grateful? oh noes, prince is gonna soo me!!1!

I haven't felt like myself for the past 4 days. I feel like I've been having bipolar symptoms or something

I kept reading it just to make sure I wasn't missing anything.... I'm in vet school and i have a donkey and a sheep to take care of and do surgery on this semester. My donkey had his first surgery on Tuesday and he needs his antibiotic and pain med twice a day. The easiest way to give it is to mash up the pills and then mix them with water and molassas, stick it in a syringe with no needle and then feed it to him. Ok. I think I can do that. So I mixed up the meds and put the syringe in the back pocket of my coveralls. But then, what happened was...I waited too long to give the medication and the plunger part of the syringe fell out and the mixture of the medication, water, and molasses ran down the back of my coveralls. Next time I'll just give him the medication first.

I think financial stability and partnership issues trump donkey medication down the back. I'm just going to wash out my coveralls but my current and future financial situation is much less fixable.
