excellent waitresses -waiters please dont fill my glass

Does anyone get annoyed when a waiter-waitress brings back a full glass of what you were drinking instead of asking because maybe you want something different next time around?...or you have the ice tea all perfect with the right amount of ice and sugar ratio and here they come filling it up messing up the brix on their way past? Veryyy good service and expected but next time ask a mfka first..some of us are wishy washy.

It's indeed annoying. You should say "hey.. you just ruined what was left of my ice tea! Would you pour water over an half-finished plate of spagetti? You better bring me another one!"

Very few guests actually switch drinks repeatedly if theyre drinking soft drinks. The server is just trying to be on top of things, its certainly better than he/she ignoring you alltogether. The point is, if you want a refill, they have it there for you, no wait. If you want something else youre more than welcome to ask for it.

Cut them some slack. lol. Servers aren't psychics.

TOTALLY AGREE!!!

I was a waiter for years and I always thought that the silent service approach was the best. I try not to talk to the customers any more than I needed to. They're not there to talk to me.

It's also frustrating when a wine glass is overfilled. I prefer mine to be about 1/3 filled. Some servers think they're doing you a favor by topping off the glass!

I'll tell you what's disgusting when they want you to use the same cup or tea bag for Tea. Or when they want to refill your glass but never give you a new straw. Maybe You want a New Straw. Also very disgusting is Old Bread or Dirty Silverware or I've seen Holes in Linen. Now in a Fancy place that is Gross and would get the Thumbs Down Rating for sure by me. Slow Service also is Not Tolerated by me as I am Usually Famished when I enter a Restaurant and want my Waiter to serve me ASAP. I have been Known to make a Scene when Unsatisfied. If you want me Happy Friendly,Quick ,service with Beautiful,Clean Food is Appreciated. Otherwise I am sorry to tell you it is going back. I have sent food back numerous times. If it looks Disgusting I'm not touching it let alone eating it and that Nose of Mine will go right in the Air!

That depends on whether you are buying it by the glass or by the bottle.

If it's by the glass then the waiter/barman better fill that mother all the way to the top!
When I read about the evils of drinking, I gave up reading.

I know--thats why I said "excellent waiters-waitresses" and called myself wishy washy..because Im the type of person who likes to mix it up and order a different drink next go round..I realize they are being on top of their game and doing a good job...
