I went once when P did a show there years ago, but I can't speak on it just as a club in general (cheesy decor, I do remember that!)... & it's in the epicenter of one way streets, lost tourists & bad parking so you'll have a blast! lol bananadance

lol that's why I like being in "boring" San Jose. This isn't a "tourist town" at all,so it's never overly crowded, the streets are easy to drive on,and even when there's a big event downtown,it's never hard to find parking.

Yea... but you're still in San Jofuckingse omfg

speaking of San Francisco....I'm going there this weekend for a friend's Birthday party at Ruby Skye.I've never been to this nightclub before,is it any good?

The one thing I hate about San Francisco is driving in that city. It's hard to find parking, there are too many one-way streets, and too many lost tourists who don't know where they're going, lol.

I was dragged there one night. Not my kind of place, but if you like dance clubs, I guess it is typical (but, like CalhounSq said, its in a touristy, one-way street area).

hmmm well,it looks like a cool place.I heard that they only play techno/electronica music, which is fine with me.I get sick of hearing hip-hop at every club I go to.

Stop by,Stax and hang out for awhile.I wanna finally meet some other Bay Area orgers lol

That place does attract a crowd. I drove by there last weekend and the line was ginormous. When I was there, the music was techno/electronica, but I think they do have hip hop nights.

As for a meet up, would love to but my weekend is crazy packed. How long are you in town for?

I love love love CALIFORNIA but there are so many other places that I love. I love Cancun, Mexico, I love Bath and London England. I love Los Angeles, I love San Francisco. I love New York. Oh lawd!!!!! So many places.

i'm afraid i'm gonna really love london and think cali sucks in comparison afterwards. lol

I had wanted to go to England ever since I was 18, mainly because of all the great music that was coming out at the time (80's). I finally realized my dream in 2006. So yeah, when I got there I was ready to cry. I still don't know what it is exactly about England but I love it. When I got back I was homesick for it. I was like "How can I be homesick for London?"

That is starting to change that's why they're building more parking garages. I may talk a whole lot of mess about San Jose, (no culture, but it tries) but I still love it.

You ain't never lied. That includes locals, too. They catch the bus so much they forget how to drive! The cab drivers are also a nightmare.

Just for that one night, but I will be there again next Saturday (November 10) for another Birthday party. My friends are getting tired of the South Bay so they're all planning parties/meet-ups in SF these days.

I heard that many SF locals don't even bother driving around town anymore. They only use their cars when they're going out of town. For everthing else,it's public transportation.I suppose it's like that in New York, too.

Like everyone else who grew up here,I used to criticize San Jose too lol I used to complain about how boring it was,how the nightlife here sucks, etc. But in recent years,I've grown to appreciate it a little more...or maybe I'm just getting older and don't need all the "excitement" that other places offer? Who knows? lol
