what is this iron nonsense? and what is that thing with the wheel? or the thing below that?? in our house there was probably a fight over the horse. actually, like most of my childhood, i probably wanted whatever my sister wanted That is actually a cannon, but it does resemble a spinning wheel or wheel of some sort. Below it is a moneybag, which is a newer token introduced in the mid-90s, if I remember correctly.

We're Monopoly twins. I guess that means we shouldn't play together, or there'd be a fight. Proud Memaw to Seyhan Olivia Christine ,Zoey Cirilo Jaylee & Ellie Abigail Lillian

the car or top hat | |

I don't recall having a definite favorite--depending on my mood I'd go for the dog, boot, wheelbarrow or tophat. Didn't like the horse and I don't remember there being a battleship in my version. I was probably just happy that someone was willing to play with me, so I didn't care about the piece. I loved playing board games as a child and always received them as gifts, but my family (parents & brother) never wanted to play with me.

hehe i always used the shoe....everyone in my family had a regular piece, isnt it funny we have to have the same one all the time I'm feelin kind of n-a-s-t-y

i have the deluxe edition with the moneybag
i'll either be the car or the choo-choo train on the video game, the peices were animated so when you rolled the dice depending on which token you used here's what you saw: the dog barked and scampered the top hat flipped and bunnies came out(think magician) the submarine moved and it had one eye looking around the man on the horse galloped, the shoe walked, the car drove itself, the wheelbarrel wheeled itself the thimble flipped

I generally liked to be the top hat or the racing car. A piece that generally resonated style and class! There's Joy In Expatriation.

I was always the wishbone.
And my favotite part of the game was whenever I touch the edges of the "cavity" & the buzzer would go off, I'd yell out' "You sank my battleship!"

I later realized that all versions of this game has alot to do with how the dice rolls. One game I had such a bad streak where I couldn't buy anything by landing on it.

If there were a Prince.org board-game night, you would indeed always have a waiting chair there.

Are you always that one particular playing piece? Will you throw a tantrum and refuse to play unless you get to be that boot, that Scottie dog, that battleship? And does anybody ever really choose to be the iron? (BTW, my picks are the car and - of course - the top hat. ) I always picked the hat, I was a big Harold Lloyd fan and for some reason my 7 year old brain associated that hat with him. missing word edit [Edited 10/30/07 9:48am]

I liked them all when I was a kid, and it always became an anxious situation, trying to choose. I like the thimble, battleship, and top hat these days. Oh shit, my hat done fell off
